graysky Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 I have a logitech 5-button mouse and am using the built-in MS driver. I have the sensitivity all the way up, but the mouse still moves too slowly. Is there a reg. key I can tweak to speed it up? If not, is there another method to use? Thanks!
submix8c Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 Dunno about "speed up the mouse", but Logitech still provides drivers. Just go there and look for Support then identify your particular flavor. It's called Mouseware. HTH
graysky Posted December 8, 2008 Author Posted December 8, 2008 Thanks for the reply... I was hoping to avoid using 3rd party drivers. Seems like there should be a reg key to tweak that will allow for the same effect, no?
infiniti25 Posted December 10, 2008 Posted December 10, 2008 Are you sure you have been to the control panel and moved the "pointer speed" slider in the mouse control panel?
tain Posted December 10, 2008 Posted December 10, 2008 In addition to the pointer speed, there is also an acceleration feature you might try.
infiniti25 Posted December 12, 2008 Posted December 12, 2008 Just out of curiosity, you dont happen to have sensitivity buttons on your mouse do you?I have a Logitech G5 gaming mouse and it has two buttons under the mouse wheel to alter sensitivity, which is indicated by 1 of three leds.
graysky Posted December 12, 2008 Author Posted December 12, 2008 I was mistaken, it's a Kensington mouse, model 72112.
bassgoonist Posted December 12, 2008 Posted December 12, 2008 Disable "enhance pointer precision" That will make it skip pixels and move faster.
weEvil Posted December 14, 2008 Posted December 14, 2008 Increase the polling frequency if its a USB mouse too.
graysky Posted December 28, 2008 Author Posted December 28, 2008 Increase the polling frequency if its a USB mouse too.Where can I set this option?
infiniti25 Posted December 28, 2008 Posted December 28, 2008 increasing the polling frequency is probably a driver thing, try looking in device manager -> input devices -> your mouse -> properties.either that or get a tool to modify your usb drivers overall polling rate.Sorry for the vagueness I haven't done this particular task for a while.
