I have a logitech 5-button mouse and am using the built-in MS driver. I have the sensitivity all the way up, but the mouse still moves too slowly. Is there a reg. key I can tweak to speed it up? If not, is there another method to use?

Dunno about "speed up the mouse", but Logitech still provides drivers. Just go there and look for Support then identify your particular flavor. It's called Mouseware. HTH

Are you sure you have been to the control panel and moved the "pointer speed" slider in the mouse control panel?

In addition to the pointer speed, there is also an acceleration feature you might try.

Just out of curiosity, you dont happen to have sensitivity buttons on your mouse do you?

I have a Logitech G5 gaming mouse and it has two buttons under the mouse wheel to alter sensitivity, which is indicated by 1 of three leds.

I was mistaken, it's a Kensington mouse, model 72112.

Disable "enhance pointer precision" That will make it skip pixels and move faster.

increasing the polling frequency is probably a driver thing, try looking in device manager -> input devices -> your mouse -> properties.

either that or get a tool to modify your usb drivers overall polling rate.
