No one will answer they can't you haven't given any info we don't know what make of laptop it is , what type of files you have e.c.t

and most those recovery partitions from my experience are a nightmare.

Using their software from an Hp I burned 2 dvds for the recovery Cd's on one machine. Then deleted that recovery part

I'd look around and see if a friend had a dvd you could copy as they are all the same except by what key you plugin so you not rippin anyone off by doing a copy cause your oem didn't provide one. Some will for a price. Also the OEM files will be needed for your make

Extract the os and forget about the recovery partition.
