Making bootable cd-r and usb

Hi all,

I have another tricky question...at least for me...

I would like to make a bootable cd-r or dvd-r using Nero as burning software and standard Microsoft software to make it bootable. I have tried quite a lot of things, but it just doesn't want to boot. I always end up in a dos box.

The same problem for making a bootable usb stick.

I would like to make these utilities (cd-r, dvd-r, usb stick) bootable so that I can boot from those media and use third party software (ghost, partition magic). But for the usb stick I alsi would like to create a bootable windows xp pro if possible.

I just don't have the knowledge how to do this...

Can anyone help me with this problem pleas? Many thanks in advance!!

For creating bootable CD-r, BartPE , UBCD & Reatogo came to my mind

For knowledge about building these things, you can read/search around Install XP from USB

It's time-consuming if u are building this kind of project. Good luck

? You mean it doesn't boot "Windows" but it does boot.

i have always used diskpart for making a bootable windows flash drive, its very simple.

Well, only with the VISTA version of diskpart, the XP one cannot access USB drives.
