I have a made a short list of the games thus far that work on windows98se that is for XP or even Vista. I have tested these games and they work fine.

Thus far:

F.E.A.R. Perseus Mandate

Quake 4

F.E.A.R

Alarm Corba Nitro

Alarm Cobra Crash time

Enemy Territory: Quake Wars

The Mark

Doom 3

El Matador

If you have anymore please list them.

Note: Alarm Cobra Crash time works, but you need a better GPU to run it, anything higher then the 6200..

Installing the Kernel update doesn't mess with the system , it adds important files to the system. I have notice using Kernel 3.6 i get Kernel DLL error popups after exiting from certain problems, but other then that, my system is running fine.

Have you tried using Kernel 3.2 or 3.5?

Its good seeing all these XP games working on platforms lower than itself :)

I tried that MS CHECKERS game (The one that says your playing with someone over the net (Dunno if you really are though)) and the program checks what OS your running it on and it wont run on Win98 :D (Without modding things)

you cant get the installer to work becasue it needs win xp or vista

but if you can get it installed on a windows xp or vista computer and then copy where it was installed then put it on windows 98/me then you can play it

and this is with out that kenealex thing

ya thatts right you dont need it but you may be able to get the installer to work with kenealex
