ajua Posted January 15, 2009 Author Posted January 15, 2009 sorry for confused, I mean I couldn't find turkish full installer anywhere to play with your instructtions..http://www.ajuaonline.com/2008/10/10/windo...ull-installers/You were seeing an old post. See the one i made about the Final version for instructions on how to get the full installer in your language.LinkI'm newbie on this..I read the tutorial.doc but I do't understand on which table I will create these rows? The following rows needs to be created because they don't exist.Property ValueADDBHO No-AddBHOADDLINKS AddLinksSETHOMEPAGE No-SetMyHomePageALLOWRHAPSODY No-AllowRhapsodyon property table?Yes, they are to be created in the property table:"The following rows needs to be created in the Property table because they don’t exist."
ajua Posted January 15, 2009 Author Posted January 15, 2009 Downloaded the full installer @ http://www.mydigitallife.info/2009/01/07/d...-for-windows-7/Will try it on an other pc, see if i get the .cache folder.edit:Also found dutch and english messenger.msi + Contacts.msi @ microsoft:EN:http://download.microsoft.com/download/0/F...hip-neutral.cabhttp://download.microsoft.com/download/0/F...ger-ship-en.cabNL:http://download.microsoft.com/download/2/E...hip-neutral.cabhttp://download.microsoft.com/download/2/E...ger-ship-nl.cabBut i also want the Windows Live Mail part, so i need to find that installer.I made tests and you will need more components. If some components are missing, you will get some login errors, such as the one another user posted earlier in this thread. Are you using the full installer in your language? or the web setup? If so, use the full installer instead.I discovered that on a Windows XP if you remove the old Windows Messenger that came with the OS using:RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %windir%\inf\msmsgs.inf,BLC.Removeafter running 'WLM9 Switchless.exe' you will get an error saying that it is looking for 'wlm.msi' in the temp directory. I have found that if you run the command to remove the old version first then run 'WLM9 Switchless.exe' you will not get the error.elajua:Thanks for the great work you are doing to make our lives easier! Thanks for the info on removing the old messenger.
spoirier Posted January 16, 2009 Posted January 16, 2009 When I install 'WLM9 Requisites Switchless' it adds 'Windows Live Call Beta' to the Program Files menu. Is it really a beta or the release version?
cloferba Posted January 16, 2009 Posted January 16, 2009 (edited) edit: thanks Edited January 16, 2009 by cloferba
mickmack Posted January 16, 2009 Posted January 16, 2009 http://rapidshare.de/files/41689734/MSN9.exe.htmlFrench version of final Messenger 2009.no adverstising, components included. not to install from SVCPACK. (when installinf from svcpack, it is asking for msi file form which it has been installed)
ajua Posted January 16, 2009 Author Posted January 16, 2009 When I install 'WLM9 Requisites Switchless' it adds 'Windows Live Call Beta' to the Program Files menu. Is it really a beta or the release version? The full installer of Wave 3 Final didn't update my Windows Live Call, so i suppose it is still in Beta. However, as soon as i reformat my laptop i will make a clean install of that installer to see if there is any change to Windows Live Call when installing from scratch.
mickmack Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 (edited) http://rapidshare.de/files/42028360/MSN9FR.exe.html French version of final Messenger 2009. no adverstising, components included. compatible with SVCPACK. update 1. Added SVCPACK compatibility (now it caches the files locally by adding the line to 7zip InstallPath="%COMMONPROGRAMFILES%\\Windows Live\\cache" 2. smaller size by using administrative point on all installers, not only messenger (19MB instead of 24mb). 3. patched files to remove advertising, and some tweaks.edit:by the way. in error reporting installer i see the files named DWINTL20.DLL for different languages. if someone knows is it possible to leave just files for needed languages? the installer size is getting couple of mbs smaller. there are also many same files on different installers, is it possible to optimize them in 7zip installer? im gonna try to make installer size smaller but if someone has knowlenge, let me know.edit2:by deleting not needed language files belonging to error reporting, size of the installer is getting smaller to 200kb. Edited January 17, 2009 by mickmack
ajua Posted January 18, 2009 Author Posted January 18, 2009 You will need to find which files are needed for different languages.By making a different "requisites" installer, one can install it regardless of the language of WLM.
Raoul90 Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 I still dont get any .cache folder so how i should get it installed.I want Windows Live Messenger and Windows Live Mail Desktop. In Dutch.Plz help.

ajua Posted January 20, 2009 Author Posted January 20, 2009 The .cache folder for the final installer is located in Common Files\Windows Live not Program Files\Windows LiveI also updated my switchless installers. The requisites includes the new Windows Live Call, which is not in Beta anymore. The WLM9 installers only have changed to reflect a new text string when extracting the files.
mickmack Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 by the way elajua: did you manage to get uninstaller for WLM to show up in software?
ajua Posted January 21, 2009 Author Posted January 21, 2009 by the way elajua: did you manage to get uninstaller for WLM to show up in software?I just tried in three unattended installations and effectively, the uninstall entry is missing. I don't know why is this happening, though.I don't find this much important, but it is nice to solve all wrinkles.
