Jackie Moon
I have an original Windows XP Home upgrade disk (no service pack). Is it possible to slip/integrate Windows 95 into XP so the step where the upgrade disk checks for a previous version of windows is skipped? TranceEnergy
You can't slipstream an operating system into another operating system. You could however create a dvd with windows 95 and the upgrade disc all in one dvd and make a setup out of that. However i dont have either windows 95 or xp 32bit so i'dont have the resources to help you. Why you want to skip the check which seems to be needed anyway, is way beyond me.
Jackie Moon
Thanks, I'll try that. So just copy and burn both contents to a dvd, and then use that dvd to create an nlited xp, correct? I want to skip the check just so I don't have to insert the 95 disk every time I install windows (or in case I should lose the 95 disk).
Kurt_Aust
I had a similar question asked about W2K, see here for my test results.
Jackie Moon
Thanks, Kurt. I did what you and Trance suggested, and got the same results you did. Still asks for a prev version, but just push enter and you're good to go. Now I'm just experimenting with drivers, addons, etc.
iheartsims
If you want it to be bootable, you can also take an ISO of the Windows XP Upgrade CD, and ADD the files to the ISO. Do no extract and readd, because that wont keep boot sector.
