aviv00 Posted September 18, 2008 Posted September 18, 2008 does vlite support windows 7 ? or will support ? or gonna be new app for it ?i know that windows 7 m1 work fine cos its really like vista
MagicAndre1981 Posted September 18, 2008 Posted September 18, 2008 we have to wait until the first betas are out, maybe nuhi is updating vLite to work with Win7
redxii Posted September 18, 2008 Posted September 18, 2008 Can't support something that doesn't exist.
arctirus Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 it does exist, not legally that is...Sure it does. Who are you to say that anyone here is not an MS employee or an authorized OEM?
FarCry3r Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 it does exist, not legally that is...Sure it does. Who are you to say that anyone here is not an MS employee or an authorized OEM?And who are you to question what I typed?

I know some might have it legally, but the rest are not.

Hanschke Posted November 2, 2008 Posted November 2, 2008 i try it but dont work. i got a smaller iso but the hdd size is about 8 gb so that it is not really shrinked i think. ok iso is smaller but the request hdd size has to change.
spacesurfer Posted November 2, 2008 Posted November 2, 2008 windows 7 pre-beta and vlite worked like a charm. my install size so far is a little over 3 gig on virtual pc.
sp00f Posted November 3, 2008 Posted November 3, 2008 Windows 7 doesnt work with pkmgr and peimg , but with dism so i doubt that Vlite works for htofixes etc
Hanschke Posted November 3, 2008 Posted November 3, 2008 u can shrink it but the space requirement dont be changed. i got the 7,8 gb free space need if the iso is shrinked or not. so not useful for a eee pc installation like vista.so i will try with the new sp2 for vista another playing
aviv00 Posted November 3, 2008 Author Posted November 3, 2008 i guess that vlite dont find the printer driverswhich is a bad space wasted
arctirus Posted November 3, 2008 Posted November 3, 2008 I was trying too, also to shrink it for eee installation. I was able to compile an iso but it wouldn't boot. I guess I could try it again and be a little more conservative with respect to what I take out.
