Male22 Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 Hi. I have the original xp sp2c pro cd but someting buggy will not work 100% fine with hfslip integrating sp3 and ie7.I have a MSDN XP Pro VL SP3 ISO image, and I'd like to ask you if it's possibile to convert that VL in a OEM working with my legal serial. ( I'd like too to install from an original SP3 sources, not SP2 to 3 patched )I tried to hack the setupp.ini as described here http://www.thetechguide.com/howto/setuppini.html but it will not accept my OEM key.Can you help me ?Thanks
mara- Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 I don't know will this help, but you may try to copy you PIDGEN.DLL from XP Sp2 you own, to MSDN XP Sp3.Cheers
mukke Posted June 6, 2008 Posted June 6, 2008 beside copying the pidgen.dll .. try also replacing the following files: DPCDLL.DL_OEMBIOS.BI_OEMBIOS.CA_OEMBIOS.DA_OEMBIOS.SI_PIDGEN.DLLSETUPP.INISETUPREG.HIVgood look and please post your feedback
Ponch Posted June 6, 2008 Posted June 6, 2008 Yes please post a reply as I've had the same sort of problem slipstreaming SP3 (IE7 was not the problem, post installing SP3 wasn't either) but I was also using different language versions (I posted this yesterday in the nLite section). I hope I'm not aggressively hijacking the thread .
Guest matrixbk Posted June 14, 2008 Posted June 14, 2008 (edited) I recommend you to use Retail version to convert that in a OEM! You can't use VOL or VLK to do that! This is ogirinal CD Windows XP Pro Sp2 Retail from MSDN, you can use it:Banned Edited June 14, 2008 by xper Warez
