Reboot loop - Service Pack 1 - Vista Ultimate

Recommended Posts

Installed OK from vLite'd DVD, but on each re-boot, I get the message "installing Service Pack 3 of 3" the percentage then climbs from 0% to 100%, followed by a reboot and it starts all over again.

Anyone any ideas ??

Thanks

This may be in some combination with integrated hotfixes, already reported. Checking it these days. Until then you can try without integrating hotfixes if you can't wait.

This happened to me when i tried the servicepack normal install one of the first times around, and i was stupid enough to do some stuff in safemode, in between the booting. Reinstalled and let it finish on its own, everything ok.

On install vista or any other o.s. its good practise to unplug any device you dont need during the install. Makes for a faster install, and less searching for drivers on vista media.

Hi, where do I find "pending.xml", I cannot boot to safe mode, but can use an active disk to view files.
