Skyrideruk
Hello,I am aware that there a number of posts regarding this topic yet I remain confused about the correct order to do things.I currently have an OEM CD for Windows XP Pro (SP version unknown, possibly original release) plus the Windows XP SP2 upgrade CD from MS.I wish to slipstream the following into one:Windows XP Pro>SP3, including IE7 & WMP 11.Can anyone please tell me which order to apply these items together with info regarding any other hotfixes etc. which I need to include? Many thanks,Skyrideruk
Nick_White
1) Slipstream SP2 (just to make sure) using nLite;2) Slipstream SP3 using nLite;3) Slipstream WMP11 and all WMP11 hotfixes (except KB941569) using Booogy's WMP11 Slipstreamer;4) Slipstream IE7, KB947864, KB947864, Root Certificates Update using nLite. boooggy
sp2 is not needed ....service packs are cumulative so sp3 includes sp2u need a xp gold (rtm) cd1. slisptream sp32.add wmp11 and its hotfixes in nlite. u can also add ie7 and its fixes here and do everything in just one row. Nick_White
No errors at slipstream, just after testing the ISO in virtual machine.Windows install skipped OOBE, gave me an error like in the image and didn't install/show some windows components (like Luna theme, IE, WMP and others in Start Menu. After that, I remade a Windows image following the same steps, except that I integrated KB941569 using nLite (the rest with WMP11 slipstreamer). The resulted image installed succesfuly on virtual machine and on a real computer.
