flamandu Posted April 27, 2008 Author Posted April 27, 2008 I think that with vlite you have the posibility to add languages but not to remove them from the DVD. I tried to remove them with an .xml file but it doesn't work .

lucashingis Posted July 29, 2008 Posted July 29, 2008 Well, since nobody answers, I think there is no such way to do it.THANKS!
dford Posted August 21, 2008 Posted August 21, 2008 You need the Windows WAIKUse Windows system image manager and create the answer file for removal. In Package Node right click the Language you want to remove and Add to answer file.Detailed answer on Microsoft site: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc749497.aspx
arfett Posted August 23, 2008 Posted August 23, 2008 (edited) Unless your pointer finger is broken it is rather simple to check the boxes for which languages you would like to remove in the removals section using vlite. Edited August 23, 2008 by arfett
cluberti Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 I've noticed that using vlite 1.2 to remove languages causes file signature issues (thus, no boot). 1.1.6 did not have these issues. However, using the WAIK is pretty easy, and it doesn't break the image like vlite seems to (and it's not 100%, but it's more than 50% of images that end up this way).
flamandu Posted September 1, 2008 Author Posted September 1, 2008 there is a way to remove the languages and it works. see this topichttp://www.msfn.org/board/Removing-Languages-t116511.html
