hakeem5454 Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 everytime i put in my Windows xp cd and load the cd it does its usual NTFS format then loads all the files and right after it loads the files and restarts the computer, it goes back to step1 which is formatting the harddrive then loading files. I've tried 3 times and the same thing happens each time..what seems to be goin on?
j7n Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 How about if you remove the CD after the first restart? You will later need to insert it again. Just eject the tray when BIOS POST appears so that the system does not boot from the CD.
nitroshift Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 After first reboot enter BIOS and chose HDD as first boot device.
giotletuongtu2911 Posted January 17, 2008 Posted January 17, 2008 It's doing that because as soon as the computer is restarted it boot from the CD again!. Remember to take the CD out and or go to the BIOS and select boot from HD instead of CD.
hakeem5454 Posted January 20, 2008 Author Posted January 20, 2008 i did try that it still does the same thing
neo Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 First delete the partition and then create & format during the installation...one more thing...make sure your hdd in boot list in BIOS....n don't press any key after restart....
