December 8, 200718 yr I have been using the VIA 8237r chipset for my sata drive, I got curious and tried the promise controller to see if it would report the SMART info, since the VIA chipset doesn't.Well what a joke, I cant find a driver newer than 2003!I had a Sil 3112 on my A7N8X and I got a 2007 bios, and 2007 Vista driver.Whats with Promise?I'll never buy a board with a Promise controler again....
December 8, 200718 yr I have the 378 controller on my K8V SE Deluxe. I used the XP driver when I had 32bit Vista running. It worked OK. I now use x64 and just abandoned the controller.
