Some virtual memory problem on virtual PC

Recommended Posts

I am trying to update an old XP disk that i have with SP2 and all the latest hotfixes, but when i try to use the created ISO in Virtual PC, it comes up with an error, and reboots after it's done copying the setup files. I am not sure what the error says, since it reboots very fast, but it's something about not having enough virtual memory.

My .ini file is attached, in case it helps.

Well, now i am sure it's a hotfix that's breaking things, but i don't know which one.

I ran a simple test with just SP2 integration, and unattended setup and it seems to work just fine.

Which hotfix could it be? It's driving me nuts.

Have a look at Tomcat76's hotfix list which you can find via the HFSLIP web site. These are all the updates you need. Compare it to your hotfixes and remove the ones which Tomcat76 doesn't mention.
