you can install wmp11 even if you did the "WMP compatibility cleanup" or something like that.

You need to unpack the WMP11 installer to a directory, and start the wmp11.exe yourself.

wmp11 will install like a windows hotfix, and it works.

if u do like that u will have wmp but with no functionality .....cause u need to install the other components so wmp can work. at least wmfdist11.exe should be installed.
