hey i notice that option could save half time and half space [in windows dir down to 650MB]

but is it worth it ? did anyone use that option and got problam of lossing files and make the OS unstable ?

It is worth disabling it IMO.

- no adware or virus will be stopped by it kept enabled, the authors already made their programs with SFC enabled in mind and they rarely replace the system files, they add similarly named files so that you think it's the genuine file, SFC can't help there.

- DLL version conflicts are solved by every installer out there, it will keep the newest or popup the question while installing the program. Better yet nothing changes the system files except your hotfixes so why even mention this.

- big annoyance if you want to change some file, like patched Uxtheme or TcpIp

I've been disabling SFC ever since it was available in nLite and never had a single problem with it.

Do uyou want to disable SFC in nLite / Options / Patches so the Winlite installation will go faster?

Or why else do you want to disable it? Why?

Somebody posted a little tweak that stops the SFC error message pop-ups while still leaving SFC enabled. I copied and saved his post, but unfortunately did not copy his name so I don't know who to give credit to. I posted his tweak recently, here it is again:

Isn't that good enough, so the error message pop-ups stop?

Question: If you disable SFC in nLite, then how can you re-enable SFC after you finish your new installation ?

I would like to still be able to run the command "sfc /scannow" to double check that I have all the files needed.

for me it just gets in the way and i dont modify files or anything, IMO not very necessary to have n i dont need it even if it didnt speed up installation i'll still disable it.
