smithxi Posted September 24, 2007 Posted September 24, 2007 Does anyone know where to buy a 600 watt?
jcarle Posted September 24, 2007 Posted September 24, 2007 http://www.directron.com/matxps.htmlGoogle.
puntoMX Posted September 24, 2007 Posted September 24, 2007 uATX, so are we talking about the small form factor PSU or the "standard" PSU size?
smithxi Posted September 24, 2007 Author Posted September 24, 2007 (edited) You know, I've been looking all day, and the best I found was a 400 watt microATX psu. I was interested in the laydown cases, but i think i'll stick with standard ATX, even if it is twice as high.(3 inches, 6 inches)desktop cases or media cases? Edited September 24, 2007 by smithxi
nmX.Memnoch Posted September 24, 2007 Posted September 24, 2007 I was interested in the laydown casesThose are called desktop cases. You can get microATX desktop cases that use standard sized power supplies. Here's an example:http://www.antec.com/us/productDetails.php?ProdID=92480What kind of hardware are you planning on putting in the system? You may not need more than a 380-400W PSU.
weEvil Posted September 24, 2007 Posted September 24, 2007 dual core amd 4600That's going to need at least 12,000 Watts.
smithxi Posted September 25, 2007 Author Posted September 25, 2007 was thinking an ITX build could be kinda sweet.
Zxian Posted September 25, 2007 Posted September 25, 2007 If you're really looking for a uITX system, then you won't need a PSU as big as those - a picoPSU like device should suit you fine.
