i was using my pc

IBM Netvista

Intel Pentium III 866Mhz (orriginally Intel Celeron 700Mhz)

Intel 810 Chipset

320MB RAM

anyway i was using it and it turned off while i was using it.

now it doesnt turn on again, the powersupply is fine,

ive taken most of the hardware out to try getting it to work but

since it isnt powering up,

when you plug it in the fan spins a little bit.

i didnt smell anything or hear anything when it stopped working

im guessing i need to get a new board though

my PII Xeon server would do that a lot because it would overheat..i'd have to wait for it to cool off before i could even try to do anything with it. when i first got the PIII Xeons for it it was unstable, but it worked itself out i guess as its solid now.

i'm not entirely sure what to tell you though, its possible the board is dead, but have you tired anything else like clearing the CMOS or anything like that?

My Post count reached 686 yay! So in rememberance of the Pentium II i wrote some stuff.

Get your self a socket 775 now, so you can write something on it when your post count is 775 ;).

I think It’s better to find your self a second computer like that and make from 2 one, or just upgrade, there are still upgrades that will work with W98SE...
