How can I reduce sound of music in song

with increasing the vocal of artist to be pure

which program can do this + Steps please

either use you sound card's driver program and mess with the equilizer or use winamp and mess with its equilizer

kmplayer (google it) had a preset to block out practically all sound out and enhance the vocals. i can't remember how though.
