You realize you will get a different answer from everyone, right?

It also depends... to what extent do you want to edit a video? Simple text screens before the video starts or Hollywood-type effects?

I personally use Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.

Instead of asking what others use, try out some trial versions on your own and see which one suits you best. Obviously, some applications require a steeper learning curve than others.
