Just to give you guys an update on my graphic card selection I am still looking at Evga 8800GTS 320 and 640MB. But I am starting to lean more and more towards the 320 Model because of its price. 640MB still isn't out of my looks, If I have the money I am gona go with the 8800GTS 640MB Model and if not I am gona go with the 320MB Model.

My advice is to buy what you need for now instead of trying to future proof in which case then you are paying for capability that you cannot use until the future when stuff will be cheaper. In other words I'd recommend buying a 8600 GT/GTS or HD 2600 XT and with the money you saved you can buy a better card later and much sooner than if you buy the 8800 GTS.

ya that is a good idea as long as you sell you stuff later on at the right time.

like i sold my 7800gt in order to get an 8800gts, if i kept the 7800gt for another year, then either no one would want to buy it or i would have to sell it extremely cheap. i am now selling the rest of my hardware for some kick-a** intel gear, again if i were to sell a comp with ddr in another year..

So when I get a graphic card, I want to get a card that will last me four years. Also my old computer usually goes to my brother. That is the main reason I future proof my system. I build a system every four years. Unless there is something I must have right away.

Same here dude. Got my system 5 years ago. Works real nice though. Not good for games unless I want to play something a little more than a year old, but it can take everything else just fine.

I'm also waiting until the G9. But so I can purchase and futureproff.

I know it sound crazy guys, but I don't see me updating my system every year. That crazy. That's why I build a system every 4 - 5 years. This might shock you, but the system I am running right now is still Intel Penitum 4 3.0GHz With HT Technology. I know it sounds Ice Age and I agree with you. So now the system I am building I am gona Future Proof whatever I can to get me threw four years, before I build my next system.

Hey Guys, I just wanted to ask you guys one question on the Corsair HX620W PS. Since it doens't support the new 8-Pin Setup for the new Graphic Cards (I am looking at the 8800GTS), How will I be able to get around this? Do I need to buy an adapter or what. I know the Corsair HX620W only have 6-Pin. So if anyone can comment on this, it would really help me out!

The HX620 that I got a couple of weeks ago comes with a cable that has one 6-pin PCI-E connector, and a 6+2-pin PCI-E connector (basically - 8-pin).

They just haven't updated their specs on their homepage.

Hey Guys I just wanted to give you an update to my choice of power supply and I have gone with your guys choice and picked the one and only "Corsair HX620W." I got a really sweet deal on it. It was $127.39 Plus S/H $8.95 and the Grand Total was: $136.34. I got a really nice deal for a really good Power Supply.

Now the waiting begins...

I've got the HX620 in my file server, and I just picked up an HX520 for my new workstation (which I'll be building tonight). I tested both of them at SPCR, and they were FAR better than anything else we had there. Even Mike Chin was thoroughly impressed.
