I like MediaCoder, but it's like I have no control.

Examples:

If I put a file size limit the output video comes no where close. I tried to encode a .vob to a .avi (H.264) that was 350mb, but the outcome came only to around 30-40mb. I could understand if the output was maybe +/-10mb, but 60-70?

If I put it to encode in bit-rate mode, I select the bit-rate I want and then encode. Once again I get nothing even close to what I put in. I put a video in and set the bit-rate at 3300. What do I get for the output file? Around 300-400. I could understand a couple hundred off, but 2000+ off?

Seriously, what the heck?

That’s strange; I don’t see people having the same problem like you have on the net. Did you install other codecs over the codecs from this program? Did you de-install and re-install it again?

Also, what version numeber are we talking about? What’s your OS and is it modded (with nLite/vLite for example)...

Maybe it's a bug. MediaCoder releases are coming out almost daily.
