You might try to boot from a dos disk or any cd and so check if it's a software/hardware problem.Well... now that I write this, you can even go into BIOS directly after reboot and see if it has already changed.Is the PC on network/domain ?
June 30, 200719 yr This is caused by a low CMOS Battery. But you've changed that recently. Try resetting your BIOS to the default configuration.
