You may simply forget about Win98.

W98 doesn't have a real 'kernelmode'. All programs have direct access to all hardware. So as far as I can see it's easier to port DX10 to W98 than to port it to XP.

That is very true. But u would have to change the whole structure so it wouldn't be a port. It would be more - a rewritting and adjusting.

I can't believe that would be possible. The technology is very old, I know retro stuff is great and I'm one to go along with that but the new stuff is better when you really sit down and think about it.

I would love to see it working though, would be interesting..

I dont think you can class 98 as retro just yet.

So is that the old reason you can give for this not working? How very lame.

Can you enlighten me by giving a proper reason?

And Windows 98 is old, I think it is anyway.. You disagree and that's a fair point from you..

Windows 98 is old only because MS has discontinued development of this OS... but with a patient restructuration all is possible.

Some examples are Revolutions Pack Lite and 98SE2ME... and also KernelEx.
