  1. Original Quake and Quake II on the Playstation/PC = win. To play Quake 3 you practically need to be dosed up on speed - it's so fast paced! I didn't care for the Playstation versions, but at least it was better than Quake 64. If you think Q3 is bad at stock, you should see how fast it is on the servers I play on!
  2. You are correct, that barcode is not for the CD Key. If it was, things would be a bit easier for me! I haven't tried it in a while, but when you scan that barcode, the numbers it means are also printed on the COA as well, i think.
  3. You will want to start looking here: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showforum=92
  4. Settle down there.
  5. Megadeth - Truth Be Told
  6. OK I've got some questions, because I am not entirely certain I understood what you posted. 1. Did this notebook originally have Vista installed on it at the store? 2. Is there a Vista COA (sticker with serial number) attached to the computer or is there only an XP COA? 3. Post the part number on the COA (not the CD Key!) it should start with an X, for example X14-11111.
  7. I keep one computer with Windows 98 because it happens to have a Voodoo 5500 in it. And GL/Glide works best on that card than anything else, and it works best with Windows 98. So in case I ever want to play an old game, or use an old renderer, I can do it on there.
  8. If you are refering to the image that displays behind the play button, you can't set that. That image is generated during the "processing" period after upload, before you can play it. It typically is a still in the middle of the video. If you've noticed, a lot of trap videos (rickrolls) will put a single frame of video of whatever the trap is for. Then that picture appears in the preview and doesn't actually (1 frame is too fast) show up when playing the video back. Unfortunately, unless you are the video creator, you can't specify what frame it shows. I hope I explained that well.
  9. IMO I enjoy the modding community that exists for certain games. I wouldn't play any game on a console that can be modded on the PC. For me, consoles are only good for sports games, racing and ones that use similar controls from the 8/16bit days. Anything 1st person I need to use a mouse for. With exception to the Dreamcast, getting a mouse and keyboard to work is pretty tough. Or games like Starcraft should not have ever been made on the N64. They each have their uses. There is no single system that should be the king over the other.

  13. Currently using this at work: http://www.starcraft2.com/images/wallpaper...4-1280x1024.jpg Also still have 2 animated Megaman GIFs as Active Desktop items.
  14. What you seek is likely addressed in the ExcelCOM UDF Also try their search page.
  15. The WAIK RC has some new commands. Take a look at the following if they help. http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=129948
  16. I ran into a similar problem. Take a look at this: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?s=&amp...st&p=818425

  18. It's not as bad as trying to find some of the classic PC games as they were on the shelves originally. Given the proliferation of DRM, and the attempts to eliminate the aftermarket through it, a lot of them are now going for $40-$50. Utterly ridiculous, but that's the market. If you want it bad enough, you'll pay. I agree. A lot of the games I used to buy were used, back when GameStop and Electronics Boutique let you trade in PC games too. I wish that was still possible. Now you can only find old games online.
  19. Well that's all I have to say about that.
  20. Duran Duran - Hungry Like A Wolf
  21. I've considered buying an NES again but I'm picky. While the Famiclones are interesting enough that I almost bought them a handful of times, I am really looking for the NES-2, the top-loader. Problem is, I can't bring myself to spend over $50 for a 20 year old console.
  22. Is it possible to add more drives to an existing RAID5? Also consider the possibility of the controller/backplane being faulty and not so much the drives. On my old server (what 7Server used to be) it had a 3 drive RAID5 and was degraded. It showed 1 drive had failed, but after we replaced the faulty drive, the entire array broke and we lost all the data. It was only later when we couldn't create a new array sucessfully that it was determined that more than 1 port on the SAS backplane had failed. So I recommend that you back up all the data you can before trying to do your repairs.
  23. I've got my wallet, which is 30 years old and held together with tape. Also a Sonitrol Keycard. The other pocket has a CrystalFontz pen, my keys, Samsung Juke, a 256MB Memorex UFD labelled "Dave Lives", a Bic and a pack of Marlboro Lights.
  24. WinPE 2.x and 3.0 use the Vista and Windows 7 kernels. Older Win PE used XP as a base. However this might still apply.
  25. 2010 I think the OP means.
