I don't need any of their stuff wants to share so many permissions like an android phone. I imagine its the don't share my ID which is most important to me. I have uninstalled Cortana finally. I'll have to write up what I done perhaps another post. Going to image back and see if it works again. I know this may get put back in later but then we will have to figure out what to do then.

I have tried uninstalling with install_wim_tweak. I even disconnected router and fresh install to see if it was an update keeping me from doing it. If you talking about removing packages from .wim I haven't done that yet. I'm still using what I downloaded day 1 release

After the 7 fresh installs to my SSD trying to uninstall Cortana this weekend I found a different way to disable Cortana by editing SearchUI.exe and taking ownership. Take ownership of the Witch and End her task No telling how long this will last but its a start. After doing all that you must rename SearchUI.exe to something like SearchUI.exe.old then End task on Cortana in Task manager and she don't come back

Split your drive in 2 if its big and image to second partition. I understand might not have an extra there as I used to be there But a large USB stick is all thats needed

Thats why you need a recovery plan. System image like Macrium Reflect (FREE). I create boot cd/dvd and image offline to a separate drive, less trouble of errors that way

I uninstalled Cortana by removing the packages from the .wim file with Win Toolkit. am having trouble with my imaging using AcronisTrueImage2015_6613 When I restore image things don't work. Man I'm having troubles right now with that. I restore an Acronis image 2015 (6613) and things are not working correctly. So I was trying to make mine into GPT but it failed. Downloading Macrium reflect(Free) see if it images correctly Convert GPT Disk to MBR Disk

Thats OK long as the other realm is building apps to (kill IT) and they will keep on doing that. That is why I was not worried about this Windows 10. I knew that there would be development to try to abate, destroy, whatever and they will keep on keeping on. They are driven by a passion I once had when I started out here at msfn. Try and remove or modify things was thrown into my windows I didn't like with a whole lot of Unattended testing. Like the funky default background wallpaper on 7 when installing We now have a lot of apps that are disabling things and I'm experimenting with a few. O&O ShutUp10 same as you would go to Settings, Privacy and disable everyone of those things. You get some of it by not choosing Express during Setup and turning off. This is just easy way to set them. W10 Privacy Also the download has English translation now. Was just German W10 Privacy download No more powershell to uninstall them Metro Apps, this does it Only thing I want now is how to uninstall Cortana.
