Sound Blaster LIVE 5.1 Model SB0100 Help!
EAT MY DUST replied to EAT MY DUST's topic in Hardware Hangout
found this driver pack thing........this for 98 ? http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?s=&...st&p=422335 -
I got a used live 5.1 sound card and I get "device not found" when I use the driver package from Creative. I researched a bit and found that I need to open Sbl51vxd.lib with a program called 7-ZIP. I did that and used Upddrv98.exe and after a few tries I got the card to work but I dont have the *.cpl in my control panel. Anyone have to deal with this ? Right now my Volume mixer says "SB Live! mixer (E400)" Is that right? Sound Blaster LIVE 5.1 Model SB0100

http://www.pcbsd.org/ PC-BSD has as its goal to be an easy to install and use desktop OS, which is built on the FreeBSD operating system. To accomplish this, it currently has a graphical installation, which will enable even UNIX novices to easily install and getup and running. The system comes loaded with the "K" Desktop Environment (KDE), which lets users immediately sit down to a familiar interface. Also developed exclusively for PC-BSD is the PBI system, which lets users download and install their applications in a self-extracting & installing format, similar to InstallShield® on Windows®.

Well I'm not sure, I have the same problem when I want to liten to a audio file on IE, it pretty well freeze's until it's done buffering. The whole thing is IE's fault. Anyone have issue's with mozilla or opera? Xp has issue's too but it just shut's stuff down and say's there's an issue, 98 I have to do that myself......not that big of a deal, I want to go opera anyway's.

Bill Gates no longer supported by, Microsoft.......what's next ? -
ok listen, remove the chip, the bios chip, and replace it, I'm not sure if it's in a socket or not if you have soldering skillz unsolder it but it probably best to find another board.....or hopefully another chip. I feel for ya......what about a network flash, I've heard stories of this but it probably needs to be running in the first place. get that chip repalced Here's a picture of your board, looks like a socket.......

wow had some funky stuff with my router. It keeps resetting itself when I change certain sections, my back-ups were weak too, ended up resetting it and re-programming it all.......I think it's mad at me
-
I have that disabled, but the WLAN light flash's like it's up to someting, it's not a regular beat, it mimmicks the other wan and lan idicators when downloading etc. Also the DB power adjustments dont stay put, when I set it to 25% it goes right back to 100% when I come back maybe they didn't do a good job..... CHECK THIS OUT http://support.dlink.com/emulators/di514_revb/ All these setting's won't change they all revert back to default........only SSID broacast can be changed. http://support.dlink.com/emulators/di514_r...dv_perform.html
