  1. You are right I added comment in the post and in the batch file to tell how to change this string.
  2. Here is the batch description: EDIT: If your Windows language is English, German, Dutch or French, you don't have to worry about all of that: just call MapDrive ENU, or MapDrive DEU, MapDrive NLD or MapDrive FRA. Current attachement version is 2008/08/04: :: 2008/08/04 : Dutch language added (Thanks to Orcinus) :: 2005/10/30 : Reassigning twice (to avoid bad assigning to a used letter) :: 2005/10/28 : Try to keep the existing letters. :: Group deasignments and reassignments. _____________________________________________ Keywords: drive drives partition partitions letter letters volume volumes mapdrive drivemap diskpart change changing rename renaming modify modifying MapDrive.cmd.txt MapDrive.cmd.txt
  3. I will continue this thread on this one ps: I was not really "absent"; I read at leas once a day nearly every new posts in Unattended Windows (and obiously in XPCREATE thread)
  4. When putting these 1 HF, I encounter the problem I described in my porst above. I remove Q831167_IE6_SP1.exe, and everything goes well, but WININET.DLL has the version 6.0.2800.1400. Windows Update said there is still 831167, 817778 (normal) and .NET Fw 1.1 French (very strange) missing. @GM: There are some differences with my files and their locations: Repertoire de D:\XPCREATE\XPCR3_37\SVC-HF1 05/01/2004 15:32 430 440 Q32201~1.EXE Q322011_WXP_SP2_x86_FRA.exe05/01/2004 15:34 885 608 Q32797~1.EXE Q327979_WXP_SP2_x86_FRA.exe05/01/2004 15:14 801 640 Q81111~1.EXE Q811114_WXP_SP2_x86_FRA.exe05/01/2004 15:35 1 029 992 Q81499~1.EXE Q814995_WXP_SP2_x86_FRA.exe05/01/2004 15:29 542 496 Q81502~1.EXE Q815021_WXP_SP2_x86_FRA.exe01/04/2004 14:17 2 774 888 Q81735~1.EXE Q817357_WXP_SP2_x86_FRA.exe05/01/2004 15:21 2 913 416 WINDOW~1.EXE WindowsMedia-KB828026-x86-FRA.exe05/01/2004 15:13 1 465 120 WINDOW~2.EXE WindowsXP-KB810217-x86-FRA.exe05/01/2004 15:33 394 848 WINDOW~3.EXE WindowsXP-KB810243-x86-FRA.exe05/01/2004 15:29 774 432 WINDOW~4.EXE WindowsXP-KB820291-x86-FRA.exe05/01/2004 15:30 357 664 WIE415~1.EXE WindowsXP-KB821253-x86-FRA.exe05/01/2004 15:30 352 032 WIC395~1.EXE WindowsXP-KB822603-x86-FRA.exe05/01/2004 15:14 438 048 WIE576~1.EXE WindowsXP-KB823182-x86-FRA.exe05/01/2004 15:14 349 472 WI0435~1.EXE WindowsXP-KB824105-x86-FRA.exe05/01/2004 15:15 2 226 272 WI0530~1.EXE WindowsXP-KB824141-x86-FRA.exe05/01/2004 15:15 308 832 WI6436~1.EXE WindowsXP-KB825119-x86-FRA.exe05/01/2004 15:20 9 457 248 WI153B~1.EXE WindowsXP-KB826939-x86-FRA.exe05/01/2004 15:30 1 094 752 WI4575~1.EXE WindowsXP-KB826942-x86-FRA.exe05/01/2004 15:22 368 736 WI45D0~1.EXE WindowsXP-KB828035-x86-FRA.exe14/04/2004 12:41 3 235 096 WI82FE~1.EXE WindowsXP-KB828741-x86-FRA.EXE05/01/2004 15:32 2 967 136 WIE570~1.EXE WindowsXP-KB829558-x86-FRA.exe04/04/2004 07:19 3 673 368 WI3349~1.EXE WindowsXP-KB833998-x86-FRA.EXE14/04/2004 12:42 2 713 880 WIE183~1.EXE WindowsXP-KB835732-x86-FRA.EXE14/04/2004 12:42 3 000 088 WI61ED~1.EXE WindowsXP-KB837001-x86-FRA.EXE Repertoire de D:\XPCREATE\XPCR3_37\SVC-HF2 05/01/2004 15:33 1 929 040 HU1002~1.EXE hu1002_pro.HelpUpdate.exe05/01/2004 15:22 372 576 JS56NF~1.EXE js56nfr.JScript5.6Update.exe05/01/2004 15:28 5 319 000 msjavwu.exe14/04/2004 12:41 2 005 248 OE60SP~1.EXE OE6.0sp1-KB837009-x86-FRA.exe05/01/2004 15:34 702 592 q820223.exe03/02/2004 00:06 2 912 000 Q83289~1.EXE Q832894.IECumulativeUpdate.exe Repertoire de D:\XPCREATE\XPCR3_37\SVC-MDC 21/01/2004 18:12 2 096 312 FRN_Q8~1.EXE FRN_Q832483_MDAC_x86.EXE Repertoire de D:\XPCREATE\XPCR3_37\SVC-MSX 05/01/2004 15:36 1 916 536 HMTCDW~1.EXE HMTCDWizard_FRA.exe Repertoire de D:\XPCREATE\XPCR3_37\SVC-PRE 26/01/2004 15:50 36 560 384 DX9.EXE Repertoire de D:\XPCREATE\XPCR3_37\SVC-SWF 05/01/2004 15:37 483 750 swflash.cab Repertoire de D:\XPCREATE\XPCR3_37\SVC-WMP 14/11/2003 19:36 9 304 688 MPSETU~1.EXE MPSetupXP.MediaPlayer9.exe Repertoire de D:\XPCREATE\XPCR3_37\SVC-WMS 19/02/2004 17:48 1 009 320 MMSSET~1.EXE MMSSETUP.WindowsMessenger4.7Update.EXE Repertoire de D:\XPCREATE\XPCR3_37\SVC-X2M 14/11/2003 19:43 24 278 048 dotnetfx.exe05/01/2004 15:38 1 439 240 LANGPA~1.EXE langpack.DotNetFx.exe15/11/2003 10:23 12 644 696 MM20FR~1.EXE mm20fra.MovieMakerII.exe07/10/2003 09:48 7 382 136 SETUPJ~1.EXE setup.JournalViewer.exe28/03/2004 19:55 4 959 176 SETUPD~1.EXE SetupDl.MSNMessenger.6_1.exeEDIT: The differences are the following: HF1 GM mdesQ323183 x - BluetoothQ810243 Q323183 KB323183 Direct show playbackQ817357 - x HF2 GM mdesmsjavwu - x I start XCPREATE from XP already including SP1Q820223 - x (not for English)Q831167 x - SWF GM mdesswflash - x X2M GM mdeslangpack.DotNet - x (not for English)MSN Msgr 6.1 - x
  5. start /wait %systemdrive%\install\Nero\Nbr6303esp.exe /silent /language=Spanish /no_uiNbr6303esp is Spanish (because it contains ESP in its name), so I think that /language=Spanish is not required, and perhaps is an error (is THE error causing you troubles?)
  6. @AaronXP: I didn't reply to your previous post because I though that your question was not for me and because I was busy to try to use IEXPRESS to repack Q831167.exe. I'm using XPCREATE, so I thing the only way to install Q831167 after Q832894 is to repack it and put in the SVC-MSX folder (as said Blyster in the other post). WININET.DLL is version 6.0.2800.1405. But I got errors after installing these 2 HF. The errors are the following (always the same when something was wrong during the installation): A Internet Explorer folder is created in %SystemRoot%\ (it is containing only the 2 files: Q831167.cat & Q832894.cat). The %ProgramFiles%\internet explorer\ folder is containing only 1 folder and nothing else: connection wizard (note that the "internet explorer" folder name is not capitalized). The screen resolution is 800x600 (my WINNT.SIF set it to 1280x1024, and when everything is well installed, this is this 1280x1024 resolution which is used).
  7. SVC-HF2js56nen.exeOE6.0sp1-KB837009-x86-ENU.exeQ831167.exeQ832894.exeIt is very strange that you didn't get any problem with Q831167.exe before Q832894.exe, as in my post
  8. Put directly %USERNAME% on %COMPUTERNAME% in LocalizedString instead of using hex values (it is a REG_EXPAND_SZ string )
  9. Why would you like to have start /wait nbr6303esp.exe /silent /language=????because the file is already rated as Spanish (ESP)?! Why is it more easy to add /language=...?
  10. Simple & Well done Why not adding a text box with the prog name (between quotes) followed by all the available switches; it will be easer to copy/paste in a batch installation file. E.g. for InnoSetup: "prog" /SILENT /VERYSILENT ...

  13. Thanks for the advice, but I don't remember how to feed IEXPRESS to repack "WindowsXP-KB817778-x86-FRA.exe /Q /U /O /N /Z" There are the following files in the exe: dummy.catIEUNINST.EXE (uninstallation program?)IEUPDATE.EXEQ831167.catQ831167.inf (Signature = "$Windows NT$")Q831167_d.inf (signature="$CHICAGO$")Q831167_me.cat (I suppose it is for WinME)WININET.DLLShould I incluse all these files? Which is the install program from IEXPRESS point of view: IEUPDATE.EXE, Q831167.inf or Q831167_d.inf? (I don't think it is IEUNINST.EXE)
  14. I install my printer during COMMAND.TXT which is callling a .BAT. the printer is well installed (I can use it to print), but when Windows start, the Printer Installation Wizard is always launched, asking me to install a new printer. Does anybody have an idea where is coming this prolem ? Or how to do not have this wizard launched ?
  15. AaronXP said in the 1st post here: but XCPREATE put it after, as told by my SVCPACK.INF file:[setupHotfixesToRun] ...Q83116~1.EXE /Q:A /R:N Q83289~1.EXE /Q:A /R:N QCHAIN.EXE [ProductCatalogsToInstall]...Q831167.CAT Q832894.CATI have problem to install WinXP from the generated CD (but I am not sure it is really the problem source). I thing that XPCREATE is testing the hot fixes dates to sort them in the good way: is it really the case for these 2 HF?
  16. Have a look at http://www.commandline.co.uk/lib/treeview/index.php
  17. Sorry, but I do not understand what you mean If "DATE/T" is working under Win98, you should use only the 1st CODE (there is no need to create the empty file CRLF.TXT) If "DATE/T" is not working under Win98, you should:Create the empty file CRLF.TXT Execute the last CODE BUT: You should double the "%" to "%%" if you insert the code in a Batch (.CMD or .BAT) file.
  18. If DATE/T is accepted: SETLOCAL ENABLEEXTENSIONS ENABLEDELAYEDEXPANSION SET yy= FOR /F "USEBACKQ TOKENS=1-3 DELIMS=/" %i IN (`DATE /T`) DO ( SET dd=%i SET mm=%j SET yyyy=%k SET yy=%yyyy:~2,2% ) SET yymmdd=%yy%%mm%%dd% set yymmdd echo %yymmdd% Otherwise: First, create an empty file CRLF.TXT like: COPY CON: CRLF.TXT ^Z (or Function key F6)then the code will be (replace "La" by the 1st word of the line where the date is displayed when typing DATE, probably "The" in English) : DATE >CURDATE.TXT <CRLF.TXT SET yy= FOR /F "TOKENS=1,6-8 DELIMS=:/ " %i IN (CURDATE.TXT) DO ( IF "%i" == "La" ( SET dd=%j SET mm=%k SET yyyy=%l SET yy=%yyyy:~-2% ) ) SET yymmdd=%yy%%mm%%dd% set yymmdd echo %yymmdd%
  19. You may use Beyond Compare which allows scripting (marvelous software )
