    GDIPLUS.DLL

Hi TC & TP, i've got a few non-public hotfixes that contain gdiplus.dll and again, the file location inside the hotfix is nonstandard i.e., KBxxxxxx\SP2QFE\asms\10\msft\windows\gdiplus\gdiplus.cat KBxxxxxx\SP2QFE\asms\10\msft\windows\gdiplus\gdiplus.dll KBxxxxxx\SP2QFE\asms\10\msft\windows\gdiplus\gdiplus.man the specific hotfixes that contain these files are as follows: KB915415-v2, 918599, 907803, 887590-v2, 901026. since they all contain the same files, only 915415-v2 is valid making all the others obsolete. would it be be supported by hfslip? one more thing, the location of gdiplus.dll in the source/sourcess folders isn't the same in these hotfixes SOURCE(SS)\I386\ASMS\1000\MSFT\WINDOWS\GDIPLUS\GDIPLUS.DLL i know SP3 is due out any day now making all of this obsolete by itself, but just out of curiosity's sake....
  2. hi acheron, thanks for the hard work. if you don't mind, could you please add the values of md5 hashes of the files on updatepack.nl so we can confirm that we have downloaded the files fully and correctly. you can use hashtab if you don't have a tool available for calculating md5 hashes. thanks again!
  3. added new addon using radix's script
  4. how about deleting the d@mn file that it loads ? %ProgramFiles%\cFosSpeed\traffic_shaping\calibration_e.htm
  5. sorry, still there
  6. nope still popping up
  7. a small suggestion. don't slipstream sp2 every time, just slipstream it once and use that as your source, will save a lot of time and you obviously won't be forgetting to slipstream it again
  8. hi radix, thanks for the update. installation progresses just fine but at the end, the the traffic shaping internet explorer window pops up!
  9. radix have you turned off system restore on your windows ? because with your script the installer stops at the system restore point. please check and thanks for the help
  10. as a case in point, xpsp2 has a built in firewall, right ? as a rule, shouldn't it have stopped a new/unknown program from connecting to the internet and downloading a second program - SRAI.exe? well it didn't, did it ? and who knows what that program could have downloaded had it been written that way. and that firewall, lousy as it may be at stopping outgoing connections, is even lousier at stopping incoming connections. so always be offline when installing windows
  11. nobody promised to make dt stop calling home or wherever it is calling. we cannot do that, only the developers of the program can do that and you can do that - by bring offline while installing windows. the least radix and i could do was to prevent the downloaded crapware from installing and spreading so what you're seeing is intentional. compared to what else could happen if you have a live connection while installing windows, the dt crapware is nothing. you could get infected by viruses, trojans and who knows what else, you could even get hacked as your PC is at its most vulnerable during that time! so try to be offline while installing windows and you won't see any weird stuff happening
  12. hi radix, i did it over again, this time with your suggested change regarding srsai.exe. should hopefully be perfect now
  13. updated 4.12.2 addons. thanks radix!
  14. Hi, everybody. I just posted a request (my second one) on the comodo firewall forums for a silent/unattended friendly installer here so that an nlite compatible addon may be made. ricktendo64 had also requested once previously. those people that have been requesting an addon please go register on their forums and back me up i.e., request the same. Thanks!
  15. The SOURCES folder is your original, unmodified source. SOURCESS is the post-HFSLIP folder. I think the extra S is for Slipstreamed. a minor correction. the source (no 's' at the end) is your original, unmodified source. the sourcess (two 's' at the end) is your slipstreamed folder
  16. it wasn't trying to connect when i tried the addon. i guessed that was one of the changes they made to the setup. anyone else have this problem ?
  17. updated to 4.12.2 with SPTD 1.56. in addition to the usual removal of spyware/adware/malware/crapware, daemon tools is now prevented from opening at startup, desktop shortcuts have been removed and entry added to add/remove programs (hopefully working). radix's autoit script retained although modified even further
  18. updated to v4.0
  19. updated v4.10 addon to SPTD v1.56. other changes: removed spyware/adware/malware/crapware daemon tools prevented from opening at startup desktop shortcuts removed control panel -> add/remove programs entry added (and hopefully working)
  20. updated addon. my own autoit script this time. please try and post feedback. thanks!
  21. sure, i can have the addon available a day or two after Acheron updates the applications
