[Release] Spybot - Search & Destroy v1.6.0.30
johndoe74 replied to johndoe74's topic in Application Add-Ons
well you should at least the description or try it out before asking for a feature that happens to be already built in anyways, forget about that. give either of the addons a try - whichever you prefer - stock or customized and you won't see teatimer unless you load it up yourself -
wow, that was fast! gonna try it out and let ya know ASAP. many thanks!

hi tp & tc, i got a few MCE specific hotfixes in my MCE '05 HF folder and I noticed they don't get slipstreamed. I'm guessing this is so cuz the replacement files are not located in the usual SP2QFE or SP2GDR folder and that they are to be replaced into the SOURCE(SS)\CMPNENTS\TABLETPC\I386 folder. The hotfix folder structure is thus: SP2QFE\root\cmpnents\tabletpc\i386\*files* now I got a bunch of these hotfixes. I'm listing them below and it would be nice if they were to get slipstreamed as well: KB926777 (tpgwlnot.dll v1.7.2600.3046) KB884861 (inkobj.dll v2.7.2600.2508) KB914444 (tabsrv.dll v1.7.2600.2846) KB941975-v2 (tiptsf.dll v1.7.2600.3219) KB920295 (tipband.dll 1.7.2600.2921 and tabtip.exe v1.7.2600.2921) KB895953 (ctxtgr.dll v1.7.2600.2663, tabtip.exe v1.7.2600.2663 [superseded by KB 920295], tcserver.cfg, tcserver.exe v1.7.2600.2663, tiplib.dll v1.7.2600.2657 and tiptsf.dll v1.7.2600.2663) the files in the sourcess folder all turn out to have .2180 as the version number same as those in the source folder (SP2) Thanks!

awesome! doesn't this work when placed directly in HFSVCPACK_SW2 since it appears to be a type 2 thingy ?

those retarded people that develop this program have replaced the previous bit of spyware/malware/crapware with yet another bit of spyware/malware/crapware in v4.12.1. not only that, now the installer doesn't accept the silent switch that used to work previously (a language selection dialog pops up), on top of which the program tries to load up a browser windows once installation is complete for whatever retarded reason, all of which makes this program highly addon unfriendly and a complete and total waste of my time. i'm halting work on this addon for now.

Prio - Process Priority Saver v1.9.8 (Free for personal use.) Prio enhances the standard Processes tab with useful tooltips containing detailed information about each running process: its name, manufacturer, version and full path to the executable file. It also shows which system services are currently running in each process, if there are any. Prio adds a check box specifying whether the priority of this application should be restored to the standard popup menu, as well as the command for switching to one of the services that are currently in this process.Besides, the digital signature of an executable file is verified for each process. Processes that possess such a signature will be highlighted in green, processes without a signature will be highlighted in red. If you are sure about the origin of a process while its executable file has no digital signature, you can mark is as valid using the "Treat As Valid" menu item and it will be highlighted in green. If the executable file of this process is changed, it will become red again. [Release] Spybot - Search & Destroy v1.6.0.30
johndoe74 replied to johndoe74's topic in Application Add-Ons
nomadturk, which addon are you talking about ? in the customized addon, teatimer is not activated by default but is included in the installation since some people might be using it. you don't have to use or activate it if you don't like it (I don't like it either) if you mean the stock addon, i'll take a look at it over the weekend -

[Release] Spybot - Search & Destroy v1.6.0.30
johndoe74 replied to johndoe74's topic in Application Add-Ons
added customized addon for v1.5.2 -
i concur absolutely. compared to NT4, 98 is worth crap when it comes to stability or performance, even an un-slimmed down NT4. I say this cuz like I said earlier, I used to have NT4WKS as my main OS when 98 was all the rage and everybody was raving about how *cough* awesome 98 was . I used to absolutely love NT4WKS, had mine fully tweaked out, wouldn't even have switched from NT4 to 98 if somebody had put a gun to my head . I even found a third party utility to have it power off when it was shut down and once NT4 was properly/carefully/lovingly configured, it didn't crash, period!
