  1. I'm afraid not One version is already enough work
  2. Then I think you're forgetting to use the Update.cmd
  3. Just integrate as much SATA controller drivers, to support as many SATA controllers as possible! ^^This is the reason for the existence of DriverPack MassStorage
  4. Hmm... So you're using method 1. But the OemPnPDriversPath you've entered in your winnt.sif file is not at all correct... Please take a look in the Method_1_Vxxx.htm file, there you can find the OemPnPDriversPath you should enter!
  5. I know, no offense taken
  6. About the Realtek drivers: that was already figured out! But your method to fix this isn't very clear to me... I think you're saying 2 different things: 1. renaming the inf file to the manufacturers' name (what's the point?) 2. merging all device ID's into 1 inf file Please explain or post/attach an example.
  7. Already downloaded them. I'll see if I can get this update online today...
  8. I totally agree. I've always said that by the way. In fact it's not my mistake they aren't stable, only the manufacturers are to be blamed... But who am I to change the manufacturers? P.S.: I think/hope Christmas, for sure not this month, too much work for school! (exams, you know )
  9. UPDATED 21st of November 2004: DriverPack Sound version 4.11.1 Changelog: -Added support for all Yamaha controllers DOWNLOAD
  10. UPDATED 21st of November 2004: DriverPack LAN version 4.11.1 Changelog: -Updated the Marvell Yukon drivers DOWNLOAD Please click the banner, it's all I ask in return! Thank you.
  11. I guess you can delete the Readme.txt as well Maybe the Modes.txt too? And very maybe nvapps.xml?
  12. Good question, Lucius Snow, but I'm afraid I don't have a good answer... To be honest: for the moment I really don't know. Summary of the problem: -added support for SoundMAX controllers ==> trouble! -by adding support for SM ==> Realtek & C-Media trouble SOLUTION: removing support for SM controllers= NO SOLUTION!!! Because I want to have support for as many controllers as possible. If anyone of you can push me into the right direction, I'll do the best I can to fix this. But atm... I don't know ....
  13. I'll bookmark this topic, Prathapml! Thanks for the info!
  14. @zorro1: thanks, I'll update the DriverPack @Mr. Jim: In the Terms of Use you can read that it's only meant to be compatible with Windows XP. But as you may know, many (not all!) drivers are the same for Windows 2000 and XP, so you can use it if you want. But note that I won't try to fix not properly working things when you're using it with Windows 2000!
  15. @swgreed: thank you very much!!!!!! Trying it out now... EDIT: verified working! Thank you so much!
  16. No problem, I'm glad it's working now! But I'm wondering if you can specify which controller you use? Thank you!
  17. It worked just fine for me... Clicking the link from FireFox opened WMP and showed the file without probs... ps quality sucks!
  18. Life is becoming very busy... And exams are coming closer... Which is why the updating of my DriverPacks is slowing down... BUT... A new version of DriverPack Sound is available, along with a forum of my own for discussing the DriverPacks. You can also discuss everything about Unattended Windows there, but currently that's not the goal. Those other forums are there 'just in case'. But when I update my unattended tutorial (I guess that will be approx. end of December), then you should post questions concerning the tutorial there. So for now, I'd say, only post your DriverPack questions/problems/requests/... there. Download DP Sound V4.11

  20. Well, if it keeps giving problems, of course that's an option! Keep us updated with your results!
  21. Thanks, RogueSpear. To all: How would YOU suggest to solve the portcls.sys error? Things to take not of: 1. Removing the Realtek drivers is NOT an option. 2. I'm not going to compare every hardware ID in all SoundMAX inf files with the Realtek's inf files, that would take about 4 hours or so. If anyone wants to do this, feel free, and let me know the result.
  22. I'm trying to add the Yamaha drivers to DriverPack Sound. But I'm facing the same problem as I was with the Realtek ones (thank you, Lucius Snow ): an InstallShield Setup packaged driver.... If anyone can point me to how to extract the driver files themselves out of it, please let me know! (email/chat/this forum) http://www.yamaha.co.jp/english/product/ls.../awi3157_xp.exe and http://www.yamaha.co.jp/english/product/ls...s-xg/dsxgxp.exe are the drivers to be added. Untill then I won't add these drivers, because I simply don't know how!
  23. Hmmm... Strange :s I downloaded it from there as well! (maybe I clicked the wrong link then? :s) Thx anyway!
  24. Thanks! But please give me also an *exact* link to where you downloaded the drivers?
