  1. This is odd... I guess there must be a bug in the batchfiles somewhere then. That file should be located in the I386 in cabbed form as well, and THAT's the file setup is complainting about. Now, did you use DriverPack MassStorage or not? And please post the versions you used.
  2. @shaked: not difficult that you're getting errors... 1. You're using subfolder, which you should NOT; 2. You should REMOVE the drivers for the other versions of Windows. For more info, I'd like to refer you to trainee's info topic
  3. @anonim1979: yes, thanks But no need to double-post! Please don't do that again in the future
  4. @raymondbreen: thank you @everyone before raymondbreen & RyanVM: OF COURSE!!!!! So easy! I will fix it! @gilesw: thank you And I will see how I can add that presetup.cmd somewhere.... @hfrfc: hmm... it seems that the SoundMAX series should get an award; the one of 'the worst drivers ever'... I guess there's no other solution than adding the Dell & Intel SoundMAX drivers as well. Hey, there the filesize of DP Sound goes up, up, up!!! And about freezing the DP's to get them stable first: first the portcls.sys error seemed to be solved, then several reported it again, again with different motherboards. The same for DP MassStorage: it seemed to be solved, but yet again other devices are giving issues. It's not THAT simple to solve those problems, quite often the problems go back to the manufacturers and their (and MS') lack of providing us with the correct and full information of how to integrate drivers. Lots of examples there... So it's better to... move on! @sonic: please tell me which mobo/ sound card?
  5. ZileXa: I did NOT add support for devices of which there are already drivers in the Windows XP disc... My DriverPacks ADD support, they do NOT replace the included drivers. (well, they do replace some, but defintely not all...)
  6. Updated 07 Mar 05 BTS DriverPacks BASE V5.03.2 Download! AddLine.exe issue is fixed.
  7. Updated 07 Mar 05 DriverPack Sound A V5.03.1 Download! Changelog: check download page.
  8. If everything goes well, I'll post an updated version of DP Sound tonight!
  9. @mextrom: how in the world is that possible??? Did you modify the presetup.cmd script, or ANYTHING else? And btw: vielleicht=probably insteall should be instead hilfen : es hilft = it helps I hope this short list of translations may help you in the future?
  10. It is online.... Just check my site... BTSunattended.net > Projects > DriverPacks > Sound nothing difficult...
  11. @larciel: huh? How could you say that in advance? It has Realtek drivers, and they have been reported in _the_past_ that it gave sometimes a portcls.sys error. Please try and tell me when you get one. Then I can maybe add another driver, that could fix this.
  12. @RideGuy: then you're outdated, I'm afraid @meihong: I'm afraid you're right... several people reported this. But it *SHOULD* work, the command is perfectly correct!
  13. @rcordorica: well... let's say it's solved for a part of the nForce 2 and nForce 3 mobo's, but apparently not for all... Please give it a try, I need as much sucess/failure stories as possible, to find the last problems. @Mr.Gamer: I agree... The more testers, the quicker it will be solved! @ozan319: as Mr.Gamer said: did you apply the fix? And another question: are you trying to install it onto a RAID array or not? @Phoenyx: I don't understand much from what you're saying... In the first paragraph: 'Without setuporg and presetup...' =>what does that have to do with the dosnet.inf file for you? In the second paragraph: I assume you're asking why I completely removed the siside driver, while it should only have been removed from the textmode part of setup? @
  14. Well... the answer is VERY simple... By setting OemPreinstall=No, Setup won't find the drivers anymore... You HAVE to set it OemPreinstall=Yes. And... line 1 of WHICH FILE contains an error? Please post your txtsetup.oem file.
  15. @simpleman: yes, this is because the program 'AddLine.exe' is compiled in .Net, instead of a non-.Net compiler. I will put a new version online tonight, for which you DON'T need the .Net framework to be installed! @Garak: Did you actually MERGE these? DON'T do that! That gives nothing but trouble. Also, please post the HardwareID of that VIA VT8237 controller. @fly: I'm sorry, but I can't help you there. I don't know ANYTHING of Ghost images... @sonic: that's normal, don't mind that@mextrom: I'm sorry, but it seems I cannot help you currently... Some German member that can post his experiences? @larciel: oops didn't see you answered fly's question! thx
  16. On which cd did you put the DriverPacks then???
  17. but i don't think the problem is there If i delete the DP folder and replace it with the original ones not compressed (extract of the 7z files), everything works ! ← The problem IS somewhere inthere... Well... that's not a very fair comparison: OF COURSE it works if the filenames are correct... It's just that the expanding doesn't work properly... Didn't you use anything special? If you want to avoid similar problems in the future, please use the second method.
  18. Well, it IS listed in the txtsetup.sif file, so that can't be the problem. I'll post it here when I've found some more info... In the meantime, please verify you've got the required entry in your txtsetup.sif: PCI\VEN_1095&DEV_3114&SUBSYS_61141095= "sii3114r"
  19. @snakesnake: I downloaded your expand.exe, tried it on the files 'CR.ex_' and 'Ctzapxx.in_' and both extracted as they should: respectively to 'CR.exe' and 'Ctzapxx.ini'. The only conclusion I can make here: this problem is related to YOUR system. So my questions: -did you use nLite, if yes, please tell me which version; -did you modify/hack any systemfiles, if yes, please tell me which ones; -did you use regtweaks, if yes, please attach them; -which version of Windows XP Fr do you use?
  20. It will ONLY search in the folder you pointed to, so it will NOT search in the subfolder 1 and 2. Then you will have to change it to this: OemPnPDriversPath="Drivers\01_NIC\3com\1;Drivers\01_NIC\3com\2"
  21. Nope, it's not just you... The site IS down... Don't blame me, nor bandwidth issues, but it's just the server that's down... Can't do anything about it, but hoping it's online again asap. Now I will *REALLY* get p***ed at my hosting provider
  22. @snakesnake: shame on me... I didn't look properly at your screenshots... OF COURSE that's French! Please post the HardwareID of your SiI3114 controller. About the CR.exe issue: this is REALLY STRANGE! NONE of the files are renamed properly!!! Here's the list: .dl_ > .dl.in_ > .in.ex_ > .ex.in_ > .inãMay I ask you to: 1. tell me which name the compressed .inf files got after decompressing 2. post your expand.exe! This is really abnormal...
  23. @Dynaletik: I haven't changed any of the tagfiles. But maybe the filename has changed and have I overlooked it... Checking it now... EDIT: you're right. It should be vinyl97.sys. I'll update the pack.
  24. @meihong: ok..; this is sad news.... There's no other option but doing this: Search the txtsetup.sif file for this: PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_008E= "MCP2SS" PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0085= "MCP2SP" and remove it. The error will have disappeared.
  25. Hmm.... First of all: did you use the DriverPacks BASE V5.03? And the latest DriverPack Sound A V5.03? That's important! About the SiI 3114 controller: which version of DP MassStorage did you use? And please specify this 'bad name' issue! Then the compression method: I doubt there's a problem with it... It's the regular CAB compression, the one and only compression algorithm Microsoft uses in its Windows installation discs... Oh and last but not least: 'ctzapxx.inã'.. ==> WTF... What language of Win XP do you use? Spanish or Portuguese or something? This is really strange...
