aittersu, how do you manage that? Do you use nLite just to add addons or something? Any other programs involved?
There was a fix about when nLite is used only for integration, then this thing could happen. But if you remove at least one component or use options then it is a mystery how you got that issue, please explain.

Yeah, the specific fixes are:
- Slipstream update.exe directly (when you extract SP)
- Slipstream XP SP3 into XP RTM (SP0) under Vista, CDKey issue
Both of them rare so better be silent and deadly.

I also noticed the nLite'd file is in ANSI and that it's broken.
As far as the one modified by HFSLIP is concerned... If the original wbemoc.inf is in UNICODE, HFSLIP will use FIND.EXE to remove the instances of napclientprov.mof and napclientschema.mof from that file (because FINDSTR.EXE can only be used for ANSI files). There's no other option. I'm in the process of creating an HFSLIP plugin that includes edited wbemoc.inf files for both Professional and Home, and for all languages, but that's still going to take some time.
Either way, the resulting file is in UNICODE and Windows installs fine if you don't use nLite after that, so I don't understand why nLite has a problem with it. Is it that "FF FE binary string"? Does the lack of it prompt nLite to treat is as an ANSI file? Whatever it is, I don't have another option right now.
nLite does not switch ansi/unicode, it detects the file encoding. Maybe you are saving file so weird that it messes up encoding detection, anyway let me know on the PM if you find something for sure.

I think you would be the first one to test this.
Better idea would be to take clean XP preSP3 installation files and slipstream only final SP3.

It is Vista issue AND only for those who have the issue even with the new version in the first place.
For me it works the same RTM to SP3, from XP and Vista.

Confirmed.
If you are integrating SP3 from Vista then first slipstream SP2 and then SP3, that works fine. I will check if that is possible to skip.

Windows Mail is needed for .MHT files but there is no Mail in your preset.

Network\Downloader is a part of BITS, removable in the next version.
mdmcx*** is part of Modem Support, already removable.
Some other mdm listed were added in the modems in the next one.

alvinkhorfire, I never heard of something influencing that. It should work no matter what was removed.
Try searching about that problem on the net, I am sure you will find more people with that issue unrelated to removal.

Try again just by enabling the Unattended page and Apply - Save Changes Only. Fill your cdkey and other options on that page.
It could be related to that "select this version on boot" as well so try once with that unchecked as well.

TranceEnergy, try skipping in video files, without the Media Scheduler you will get a tiny audible tick or a pop, while it is completely silent when Media Scheduler is in place.
I must say I prefer XP hardware access than this priority hotfix.

Did you get any popups after integration notifying you that some are not integrated?
How did you check if they are integrated?

Kirby, it could be the other two, not the NAP.
Please let me know if you find out for sure and I'll put it into the compat. But actually both of these should be in the Ethernet compat.
