Try if this fix i made for you. It will skip the missing file message and ad the missing file later into Windows. http://www.esnips.com/doc/22017b9e-0c48-4b...VM_VX_ADDON.CAB It only works with RVM Integrator you can find the program here: http://www.ryanvm.net/msfn/ This fix is bassed on a nother fix i made. Post here: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=87813 Have a go with the poll i have there I hope you are willing to test this fix and tell me if it works. It will save you a lot af time starting over. Just run the fix with RVM Integrator than make a new iso with nLite Size: 56.2 KB (57,643 bytes) MD5 Hash: 57E5B07F9D22DAD17DA1A21DB8667D0D
-
You still have to remove the explorer with nLite as far as ik know.

Here is.. Fix Missing files during XP install V2.1 This is a small fix for only a few missing files. Download here: File Size: 167 KB (171,806 bytes) MD5 hash: 20DBE64894D392E1C018E96F26E032F3 Info: This addon that will fix some error messages about missing files during install of Windows. A lot of people that use nLite probably one's ore twice encounter the problem with the missing files. After all the time and thinking you final nLite cd is not working correct. I hate when that happens. If you have really have a lot of files missing (8 ore more i would say) you could better start over again! Always use original xp sp2 source. Use a clean source every time you make a new nlite cd. This addon is only to be used as a quick fix so that you dont need to start al over again. When to use this addon: If you have 1 ore more files missing that can be fixed by using this addon. When you run out of time to start al over again. How to use this addon: Its best to run this addon after nLite hase done its work. you have to use RVM Integrator V1.4.x to fix the small problem. Its easy to use. You can find it here http://www.ryanvm.net/msfn/ screenshot example: This fix will fix the following files: srgb.icm streamci.dll tsbyuv.dll USBCAMD2.sys USBCAMD.sys (You normally can find these files in the driver.cab. This cab is located in: C:\WINDOWS\Driver Cache\i386) To my opinion these files are rapported to be missing in most cases. These are save to fix this way. Missing these 5 files is not because a bad source if you ask me. Buy i'm not the expert! What the fix will do: 1 The fix renames al names of the source files that can be found back in these files: LAYOUT.INF,DRVINDEX.INF,Dosnet.inf and TXTSETUP.SIF That way Windows setup wont see\ask them any more during installation. 2 Later during install the files that where missing will be added to Windows again. You cant miss those files! If you get asked about this file: srgb.icm you can find it in %WINDIR%\system32\ A bit info about the missing files: - srgb.icm (= "sRGB Color Space Profile.icm) ICC profiles for input devices (cameras and scanners) as well as your printer and monitor. HP printers seem to depent a lot on it. - streamci.dll = A library file used to install media streaming hardware devices. When i did install my sound card the file got asked for. - USBCAMD2.sys = File description: Toshiba Video Codec, v. 5.1.2600.0 - USBCAMD.sys - tsbyuv.dll = The library file tsbyuv.dll, is required by windows and is used when working with Toshiba video hardware. If you have Toshiba video hardware and tsbyuv.dll is unavailable, windows will not function correctly. tsbyuv.dll is flagged as a system process and does not appear to be a security risk. However, removing Toshiba Video Codec Library may adversly impact your system. Well have a nice day.

Hi nuhi, Sorry for the late relpy. I finally have a bit more time now. Sow i'm back on it. I only could not find a way to change the TXTSETUP.SIF DRVINDEX.INF works fine (I find that back in my documentation) I tryed this to make it work with nLite: [ExtraFileEdits] .\.\LAYOUT.INF|srgb.icm|;srgb.icm|0 .\.\LAYOUT.INF|srgb|;srgb|0 .\.\LAYOUT.INF|streamci.dll|;streamci.dll|0 .\.\LAYOUT.INF|tsbyuv.dll|;tsbyuv.dll|0 .\.\LAYOUT.INF|USBCAMD2.sys|;USBCAMD2.sys|0 .\.\LAYOUT.INF|USBCAMD.sys|;USBCAMD.sys|0 .\.\DRVINDEX.INF|srgb.icm|;srgb.icm|0 .\.\DRVINDEX.INF|streamci.dll|;streamci.dll|0 .\.\DRVINDEX.INF|tsbyuv.dll|;tsbyuv.dll|0 .\.\DRVINDEX.INF|USBCAMD2.sys|;USBCAMD2.sys|0 .\.\DRVINDEX.INF|USBCAMD.sys|;USBCAMD.sys|0 DOSNET.INF|d1,srgb.icm|;d1,srgb.icm|0 DOSNET.INF|d1,streamci.dll|;d1,streamci.dll|0 DOSNET.INF|d1,tsbyuv.dll|;d1,tsbyuv.dll|0 DOSNET.INF|d1,usbcamd2.sys|;d1,usbcamd2.sys|0 DOSNET.INF|d1,usbcamd.sys|;d1,usbcamd.sys|0 TXTSETUP.SIF|srgb.icm|;srgb.icm|0 TXTSETUP.SIF|srgb|;srgb|0 TXTSETUP.SIF|streamci.dll|;streamci.dll|0 TXTSETUP.SIF|tsbyuv.dll|;tsbyuv.dll|0 TXTSETUP.SIF|USBCAMD2.sys|;USBCAMD2.sys|0 TXTSETUP.SIF|USBCAMD.sys|;USBCAMD.sys|0 I could not find a way to have TXTSETUP.SIF fixed with nLite. I hope you can tell me how to fix that part. After that is fixed the addon can be used with nLite and RVM Integrator V1.4.x Really sorry for now that the fix small fix wil only work with RVM Integrator V1.4.x only now! I will send you a pm with some info that might give you a idee how to fix this small missing file problem
-
- Maybe you have a bad source cd. Try to get a original cd.. Try making a nlite cd without tweaks, addon and removal and stuff. That will give a bit of a indication of you source files are oke. - Maybe you installed windows is so bad that making a nLite will fail - Always use a clean sourde (i386 folder) wen you use nlite. I have a fix for some missing files here:

Here is FlashBoot V1.3.0.124 Note: FlashBoot is a tool that makes USB disks bootable. It was specially designed to work with USB Flash devices. It is used to reformat flash disk and transfer system files to it. I used it on a PenDrive mini 1 gb. It hase a transfer rate of 9.5 mb/s on avarage. I would sugest a faster 1. After formating it with the tool from this page i managed to make a bootable BartPE on it. This is a addon for nLite. Sow if you're into (Ore would like to try) booting a OS ore program from usb you might like this. You have many options for your choice: convert BartPE bootable CD-ROM to bootable USB disk transfer DOS kernel only (you may get the files from installed Windows 9x, from Windows 9x setup folder, or use built-in FreeDOS) convert floppy disk to USB Flash disk (a diskette or an image file may be used) convert a bootable CD-ROM to USB Flash disk (again images are supported). There are some technical difficulties with supporting any type of CD-ROM here, see details below. But there should be no troubles with the most real cases. You may convert Knoppix and EBCD, for instance. create Windows NT/2000/XP password recovery disk create disk with NT/2000/XP bootloader. It would be useful when you have mistakenly configured it, and boot.ini file was left on unreachable disk (NTFS). duplicate USB flash disk. Just creates a copy of existing disk USB flash disk, different sizes of source and destination medias are OK. (Exemple: C:\USBUXPCD\i386) 4 Get the Pe Builder program from: http://www.nu2.nu/ and install it. (There is a new version under development) 5 Make a BartPE iso with help of the Pe Builder. (Look on http://www.nu2.nu/ tot make a costum BartPe XP cd if you like) 6 Install FlashBoot to. 7 Start Flashboot and use the first option.
