If you only want a image as background than use a $OEM$ folder like this: $OEM$\$$\Web\Wallpaper\ Put you're favorite image in here. Than run a reg file in cmdlines: Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop] "WallPaper"="C:\\Windows\\Web\\Wallpaper\\favorite.jpg" ;Sets the default desktop achtergrond. after xp install you will have you're favorite background right after restart (The $OEM$ folder go's like the I386 on the main dir of you're cd.)

That does not mean it works with you're settings in nLite. I use different partitions to. (a lot of them) I putt my xp on a partition between 10 and 20 gb. I only run the programs from it. Everything els i do ore download go's to a nother partition ore harddrive. Just to keep my xp partition clean. Personally i would never replace a new registry with a old 1. I think its a stuppid thing to do. I only import some nice tweaks and some old program setting into my new register. O and install you're xp on a sata drive if you can. Run scandisk and defrag to when ever you can. Run crapcleaner and anty spyware to every now and than.

Why don't you just putt a part of you're users profile in a $OEM$ folder. Like this: $OEM$\$Docs\mongoos3\Favorites And the cookies that have the passwords. (Personally i find it a lot better to just remember passwords..) $OEM$\$Docs\mongoos3\Cookies Some Monzilla data can be saved to. $OEM$\$Docs\mongoos3\Application Data\Mozilla

900 MB is not bad Mine is like that. I only kicked out most anoying things. And the stuff i never use or need. My smallest install is about 500.
