  1. Ahh thanks a lot! This is really helpfull for me
  2. I gues you live cd/system does not have netframe 2 installed?
  3. Some more entries support would be nice I would like the option the RVM Intergrator hase. Its is the entrie option: [WinntSif] GuiRunOnce\command9="%systemroot%\Cursors\Aero.cmd" ;It makes a new section called [GuiRunOnce] If the section is already there it will just add what is after the \ :It will ad: command9="C:\WINDOWS\Cursors\Aero.cmd" I use the part above to set a mouse cursor i like to the default. Nother example: [WinntSif] Shell\CustomDefaultThemeFile="%WinDir%\Resources\Themes\VistaXP.theme" ;Will make ore lacate the section [shell] and ad: CustomDefaultThemeFile="%WinDir%\Resources\Themes\VistaXP.theme" That will make my theme the default used theme in windows No need to edit the winnt.sif manually. (Newbe's and lazy people will like this) (I did try the option [ExtraFileEdits] but that can't make a new section)
  4. Hej, I could not find a switch in it that can make the program to install silent. I send a email once and asked for a silent switch but its not in there yet. Maybe you can make a silent installer of the program when you use a program that build program installers. Ore you could try and AutoIt the program. (Just look up the stuff on the forum if you dont understand all i'm talking about) You could make a SFX with Winrar. Have it extract in the right directory. But that will not register some needed files. This files need to be registrated: ac3filter.ax AviSplitter.ax, MatroskaSplitter.ax OggSplitter.ax QuickTime.ax RealMediaSplitter.ax You could use this from a cmd file to register the files: cmdow @ /HID @echo off regsvr32 AviSplitter.ax /s regsvr32 MatroskaSplitter.ax /s regsvr32 MpaDecFilter.ax /s regsvr32 Mpeg2DecFilter.ax /s regsvr32 OggSplitter.ax /s regsvr32 QuickTime.ax /s regsvr32 RealMediaSplitter.ax /s import setting.reg /s ;not sure it this right but have to try exit You alsow would need the a *.reg file with all the register changes the program makes when it installes. Well i would say give it a try
  5. Here is Dependency Walker V2.2 64 bit Note: I needed to know how to build a self extracting Winrar installer for Windows 64bit. Sow i made 1. I won't to credit Kelsenellenelvian to. I used part of his Entries_depends.ini I only needed to changed a couple of things in it. Info: Dependency Walker is a free utility that scans any 32-bit or 64-bit Windows module (exe, dll, ocx, sys, etc.) and builds a hierarchical tree diagram of all dependent modules. For each module found, it lists all the functions that are exported by that module, and which of those functions are actually being called by other modules. Another view displays the minimum set of required files, along with detailed information about each file including a full path to the file, base address, version numbers, machine type, debug information, and more. Dependency Walker is also very useful for troubleshooting system errors related to loading and executing modules. Dependency Walker detects many common application problems such as missing modules, invalid modules, import/export mismatches, circular dependency errors, mismatched machine types of modules, and module initialization failures. 11. If you did copy everything from you're xp cd you should be fine. I don't no that much about HP recovery cd. Just use the search option on this forum and search for recovery and hp. Should find you more info.
  12. :thumbupUt\Collector, seems to me that some of your hardware drivers is pulling those files during install? If it's missing during cd copy then attach your preset without any hotfixes or drivers in which you have confirmed missing files on one of the virtual machines...please Nops its not the hardware pullig the those files during install (Tekst setup). The files that are being coppyed during tekst setup are always the same. No mather what pc you install (gosh even hase got a guide how to make a xp cd of the coppyed source of the tekst setup http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=9478 ) The files that i have missing are still named in DRVINDEX.INF and others. Most of those driver should be in the driver.cab but the arent any more. Sow you could say the the tekst setup can't pull the files form the driver.cab I can confirm the missing files won't be in Windows when the install is ready. Well i did a nother shrinking with nLite nLite 1.3 beta. When istalling in vmware i got these files missing: srgb.icm streamci.dll tsbvcap.sys tsbyuv.dll usbcamd2.sys usbcamd.sys I'm sure the missing file problem can be fixed. I always will be a big fan of you're program Well i ad my preset. LAST_SESSION.rar
  13. Hi, My Englisch sucks to sometimes. My addon only will fix this missing files: srgb.icm streamci.dll tsbyuv.dll USBCAMD2.sys USBCAMD.sys Sow it won't fix other missing files.
  14. Coppy the i386 folder to you're harddrive and the files that have names like win51.
  15. Well yes find and coppy those files that have file names that start with win51. My list of win51 files is a bit different because i have no mce2k5 on my xp sp2. Ur cd being a Dell recovery cd probably makes win51 names a bit different to.
  16. Those files are not .rar files. (It are .cab files) It only opens with ur winrar. Replacing the driver.cab and the sp2.cab by the once's from you're running windows is not the way to fix it! A way to fix the missing file problem might be..: Use files from a original xp sp2 cd.. A proper working OS with dotnet 2 files installed correct. Propper working hardware. Good working harddrives are very important. Might be best if you don't use drives that ar fragmentated by al lot of files (downloads..) Test all options 1 by 1 of the "Driver" remove option in nLite and se when you get missing drivers during install. (use vmware) Test all options of the "Hardware suppert" that where going to 1 by 1.
  17. I did try that. It made my virgin source smaller and added the newest dx files over the ouder one. But when i did install i got a lot more missing files messages. Should i do the hfslip after in done the nLite thing? Well i gues i try it later again on my windows drive after i run scandisk en defreg. Well i'm happy my silent installer works fine
  18. It did not solve the problem with the latest version for me. I think some missing file problems can be fixed when you keep "Cameras and camcorders" compatibility. and don't remove the Toshiba video hardware support and don't remove that driver. Well you only might won't to try that if you in fact have a missing file problem. I have some more info and a small missing file fix here: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=87813
  19. I made a addon that fixes some of you're missing files. You can read about it here: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=87813

  21. Thanks nuhi and Merry X-Mas to u Hope you will have a good time
  22. You will need a little bit more than the i386 folder coppy the files: WIN51, WIN51IP, WIN51IP.SP2 from you're xp sp2 cd Maybe you have't got all files... than just coppy what you do have on you're xp sp cd. These file contain some info about the i386 folder. Oh you might want to see the instruction movies that are found in this post: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=63596 That all you're homework for now
  23. Thanks. This just saves a bit more space on the cd Its will do for now. Later someone will do a smaller release. Well almost sure about that.
