Excellent Work!! the image problem is fixed. just something else here... when you attempt to open a bbu thast has the propaganda text removed, XPreview will not open it and says strings 27,28 are missing. which is correct and i want them missing. but i will not be able to preview the screen. so maybe add a IF line or whatever. i cannot code at all

hey, i love your new tool. it is great. but... in a way it 'ruins' my winntbbu dlls. but that is why it is in alpha. i made a setup screen a while back and it was fine. I had replaced some images with smaller images, as in I took the 18x18 circular images out of the whole picture and replaced them with 1x1 pictures so they would not be seen. well, that worked fine and i made a new setup screen and i was testing it out in your software and it would show the original 18x18 box that the image was suppost to fill up, but didn't. this is what my first one looks like before opening in XPreview: this is what it looks like in and after XPreview even when i threw the same dll into i386 and did a setup:

yes. but if you modify any system like cpl, dll, exe, etc... you will need to use modifype mentioned above in xolox's post. that will fool windows in to believing that your hacked file is the original.

sounds like you install is borked. if you have a fresh Window XP (no sp1 or patches) around, try to slipstream sp1 and copy all of your custom files to that and try again.

well, if you are using the command "REGEDIT /S FILENAME.REG" from the cmdlines.txt command, it should work do you have the "Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00" at the top of the file? and do you have to correct syntax for all entrys?

I hope you mean $OEM$ folder as in software folder, not stuff that you need copied to the Windows Dir or whatever. That oem folder must be on the root cd. I was in a similar situation recently with two cds and finally came up with one way to get it to work fine, and i am testing another for my personal needs. in runonceex or you batch file, you just basically add this code, they simply specifiy the %CDROM% or %CDROM2% variable for each install.
