e03ce05a1fb25438ba03553f7ceb2f7f like yours. I uninstalled SQL server, but vmware still restarts.
-
Yes I do. SQL server is needed for me to run Windows Embedded CTP. I always sort them after the date. I thought of moving wmp11 in front of the wmp11 hotfixes, but I was too lazy to search on the net abut the release date. Or even right clicking it and looking at the properties window. and nuhi.. when nlite starts to build the iso after clicking make iso button, it does an optimization routine, saving some extra mb. But for me it also deletes all the files, not folders that reside on the iso's root. So I have left only two folders, i386 and $OEM. Setup of course it crashes after that, having not found *.sp3 files

The sql server window pops out during nlite integration. It won't go away by it's own, I have to close it manualy using task manager. It pops out ONLy when nlite starts integrating hotfixes. Nlite won't go to the next hotfix, unless I kill that window. So my hunch is that is a hotfix that is SQL related. The error with "Not enough virtual..." occurs in vmware, after starting windows setup, after the first reboot. I haven't tested the iso on a real machine. These two events might be connected, but I won't format my drive just to find out.

Thank you for your help. I'm building the iso right now. Do you know why most of the post SP3 hotfixes fail to integrate using direct hotfix integration? I don't remember having this problem before, even with Windows XP SP3. It's the first time I get so many errors. I always had the "Display Reports" on, and I must've had 2 or 3 errors max, in 2 years of nlite usage. Another thing. I alwas get a SQL server setup window that hangs the nlite process. I have to kill the sql server process manually using ask manager. Nlite hangs forever otherwise. Could this be the reason? I think I'll uninstall sql server until I build a working iso. Edit after 10 minutes: I just tested the new iso. Now I get no error anymore, but keeps restarting over and over again.

I always integrate silicon image 3112 sata raid drivers, but I never had issues with them. I didn't test it yet in a real machine, as I have only one pc, and I'm not ready to format my c drive for testing purposes. All my drives are full. This is the first time this happens, and I am using nlite for years now. I had issues before, removing some needed components, but after rebuilding the iso, the 2nd time it always worked. Now I rebuilt this iso 5 times, and the same error occurred. Here's the *.ini you asked for: bun.ini
-
No. Everything is set to default. And some integrated drivers.
-
Increased, decreased and still the same. I thought that wmp11 and IE7 might be the culprits, but after excluding them from integration, the problem persists. I activated display error option, and the majority of the hotfixes show errors during direct hotfix integration. "This update can't be slipstreamed using direct hotfix integration" or something like that. I never had problems using previous nlite versions.

I saw this posted once before, but no satisfing answer was given, so here is again. I get this error, when rebooting vmware for the first time. "Not Enough virtual Memory or paging file quota is available to complete the specified operation." I am testing all my nlited xps in vmware. Windows Xp +SP3 with all post SP3 fixes, IE7, WMP11. Some said to reduce the memory allocated to vmware. No go. Any other ideas? Nuhi? Greets!

nod32 v3.0.621 silent install problems
atolica replied to gbmolina's topic in Windows Post-Install Wizard (WPI)
Regarding custom silent installation of Nod32, is it possible to install it silently with all the up to date virus definition files? I tried this some time ago, by extracting the msi and copying the updated *.nup files to APPDATADIR\Updfiles, but it failed to install the signature database. -
Hi Where is that, I need to modify this also? Greets

Hi I've been using latest nLite 1.4.5 beta 2 and I noticed a few things. Windows Management Instrumentation service didn't get installed after nliting a winxp+sp3(build 5503) source. I had to rebuild the repository folder manually. I am installing windows from a usb stick as my dvd drive is broken by running "winnt32 /syspart:c: /tempdrive:c: /makelocalsource /unattend:winnt.sif" I don't think this is the cause of this. Some other times $OEM$ folder doesn't get created and "nlite.in_"(nlite.inf) is missing fom i386 folder(not always). This bete2 is so buggy.
-
Hi I customized a windows xp sp2 today, and I noticed that $OEM with the corresponding "cmdlines.txt" and nlite.inf in i386 folder don't get created using the latest nlite 1.45 beta 2. I could try to add them manually from a previous session, but I don't think it'll work. Shouldn't nlite create those for me? What's wrong here? A bug? Greets

I susbscribe to that. It's definetly not working!
-
How did I miss it? I'm checking everyday for a new version. It seems that you beat me to it. Thank you for your support!

I am using nlite 1.3 rc2.thats't the last version. I narrowed it down. The fixes make my life hell. I'll test it some more today

Hey So fast I did. All my other thousand times installing it. I switched RunOnceEx.cmd, first, last, middle. Curious that I didn't put "RunOnceEx.cmd" before, just RunOnceEx.cmd without brackets and it worked. My RunOnceEx.cmd is ok. EDIT: Ok, but not running at T-12 as it did before. I tested it right now in vmware, the registry keys are there, that's waht I ment by "ok". I had no problems installing IE7 via Runonce and I blew it. Any thoughts?

I'm in need of desperate help. I did unattended installations a million times(Windows XP SP2 Professional) and everything ran smoothly. Today I thought of checking which microsoft hotfixes are replaced by others and eliminate them. I mention that I'm using nLite for that. But not nLite is the problem. Everything runs ok untill T-12 when Cmdlines.txt comes in action. This is my cmdlines.txt Sptd.exe is the duplex secure's sptd driver needed for Daemon Tools that gets installed ok. A quick flash of RunOnceEx.cmd appears and disappears quickly thanks to cmdow. So I read on this forum other similar cases and thought of putting RunOnceEx.cmd inside brackets. Nada So I said, ok let's add "rundll32.exe iernonce.dll,RunOnceExProcess" at the end of RunOnceEx.cmd. Nada I'm bangging my head to pieces, testing it a thousand times inside Vmware. Nothing cocnludent Could this be due to integrating IE7 with nLite and not via RunOnceEx.cmd(plus both of the hotfixes)? I'm sure it's not. Here's my RunOnceEx.cmd Any help given would be greatly appreciated. I hope for any help, anyway. Greets

Hi I'm running runonceexrom cd. I noticed when installing that during runonceex.cmd after the first 3 or 4 programs the system restarts and after reboot it continues from where it left it off, but the last program before restarting is not getting installed. What am I doing wrong? Isn't there a way to stop doing that? I have a hunch is not runonceex.cmd to blame but I thought of asking anyway. Thnx.

Hi I decompressed the last winamp 5.24 installer and it extracted the NSIS script. Now I know many people are using Nullsoft scripts for building their own installers. Does anybody have some ideas, tips how to customize this so it installs just what I want? Hat det bra!

I read everything related to nero silent install and I can not make it work. If I make an admin install it copies and run nero.msi from there it calls for setupx.exe. "Nero.msi TRANSFORMS=Nero.MST" doesn't work either. Everytime the **** setupx.exe. Does anybody found a way for this? Thank you
-
I did everything that was specified in this guide and nothing. The Admin Installation for Nero 7.2.0.3 doesn't work. Same happens if I remove or I don't remove anything. Exactly the same: I run "Nero.msi TRANSFORMS=Nero.MST" and it gives me: "Sorry, but the installer has to be started from SetupX.exe"

Does anybody know this app and a way to make it silent? I couldn't find a word 'bout it here. It's java based.

Hi I want to slipstream windows update agent in an unattended installation XP SP2 disk. I downloaded from Microsoft site, WindowsUpdateAgent20-x86.exe I tried to do this manually, by copying all the updated files in i386 folder(cab archived with MAKECAB - *.dl_). Everything works ok, the Windows Update.log in Windows folder shows that all the files are at their latest version(5.8.0.2469) but after clicking "Custom" button it gives me the error: Files required to use Windows Update are no longer registered or installed on your computer. To continue: - Register or reinstall the files for me now (Recommended) - Let me read about more steps that might be required to solve the problem As I understand by now is that the files didn't register correctly. Registering manually by Regsvr32 *.dll adds the corresponding file to Data Store. Can this be done fully unattended previous of the installation or not? I have over 200 pc's to handle and I want this fully automatic without users' intervention. Thank you and waiting for your input.
