  1. OMG how I wish I lived in Denmark!
  2. Philips does.
  3. You mean you want to use your xp machine as a DHCP server?
  4. How much RAM do you have? @ 1GB, even 20MB isn't much. Unused RAM = waste of money
  5. Use tweakui
  6. If you downloaded them from torrents, I assume you also downloaded valid keys and when you "get around to installing them" you won't have any problem activating them Or you can look also on torrents for "windows xp activation crack". Windows versions from torrents (whether full or nlited or xplited or whatever) are warez and if you read the rules, the very first one is talking exactly about it. If you read dirtwarrior's post, you'll see that WE make our own versions of slimmed xp from licenced copies we actually bought for cash, not downloaded from whoever's pc. PS. Didn't mean to be rude, I apologise if you understood it that way, but at least for me any windows from torrents is cr/-\p indeed!
  7. Corrupted explorer.exe? Try what N1K suggested, I'm pretty sure you'll sort it out. Good luck!
  8. Did you read the rules before posting that cr/-\p????
  9. If you are using Firefox, try downthemall.
  10. How? EDIT: Found out how. Just run wmfdist11.exe and wmp11.exe in XP compatbility mode (for w2k3r2).
  11. In your router DHCP configuration page specify the IP range that it should give out to the pc's. And as jcarle said, make sure your 2000 server machine does not act as a DHCP server.
  12. If you search the forums, you find the answer; look here: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=71980
  13. sucky most likely
  14. Welcome.
  15. If you don't plan on gaming, onboard cards are fine, especially for office use.
  16. According to this calculator my system needs 265W, so the 550W that my PSU gives out is much of an overkill, isn't it?
  17. For those who don't like using winamp or WMP, I found a tiny program for listening to radio over the internet. It is called Screamer and can be found here: http://www.screamer-radio.com/ . Uses less than 8 MB of RAM.
  18. hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
  19. Well guys, it's working now ok. Got a brand new hdd and made a new array in RAID1 (mirror). It was time for a Windows upgrade too, so this was my chance. Anyway, I'm running now 2003 server x64 R2 and all my data back on the server. Thank God I had a few drives around where I saved the data....
  20. When you convert it to .avi, the resulting file will be smaller in size, no need to compress it.
  21. Or you can use TCPView from former Sysinternals, now M$.
  22. `ello there! For converting .mpg in .avi I use this. Pretty simple and easy to use. To embed the subtitles into the movie you can use Nero ---> movie cd ---> VCD or SVCD. It will ask you if you want to add subtitles and their location. Good luck! nitroshift
  23. Imagine just how fast solitaire would run...
  24. For some reason it's still running, but when I want to Ghost the OS partition it gives me an error: "Read sector failure, result = 1, drive = 0, sectors 16864623 to 16864687". Also I'm getting a new hdd today. The setup is as follows: 2 drives in RAID, 2 partitions, the OS partition in stripe, the data partition in mirror. When I remove the old failing drive and plug in the new drive, how should I proceed to setup the RAID again? EDIT: managed to copy the partition using Acronis TrueImage. Phew!
  25. I've got mine set to "None".
