  1. Please post them, but we are not using policies in our environment. That will happen next year when we move to active directory and away from Novell.
  2. I am running them from a shared drive via a Novell Login script and the UAC always asks for confirmation.
  3. When the UAC /open file security warning is always prompting, yes or no. Is there a way to turn that off via a batch file, which will be run from a share so I can cam complete my post configs after an imaging session?. What do you guys do to get around this annoyance?
  4. I found a work around, is there a way to turn of the windows scripting confirmation box, on the fly?
  5. Cluberti, thanks man that script gave me the proper path name of the printer. The default printer, and a printer deletion works now. Is there a way to run a cmd file with elevated privileges or as administrator?. I am running a cmd file from a login script.
  6. I would like to delete a registry entry via a cmd file. I know there is a reg add I use it all the time.
  7. The printer looks wrong because it's Novell using ipp printing, I will give it a shot.
  8. The connection does exists in ports under printers. I am looking at it as I type this.
  9. I am trying to use the vbs scripts built into Windows 7 you pointed me to. here is the syntax I am using cscript.exe "C:\Windows\System32\Printing_Admin_Scripts\en-US\Prnmngr.vbs" -t -p "http://myprintserver.qc.ca/ipps/2F16P" I keep getting this error C:\Windows\System32\Printing_Admin_Scripts\en-US\Prnmngr.vbs(818, 9) SWbemServic esEx: Not found HELP!
  10. Thank you sir,I have learned so much from this place. would you know how to turn off uac it is bothersome.
  11. The printers are already installed, I just have to set the right default printer. Hopefully this scripts can do it.
  12. Is this still valid? rundll32 printui.dll,PrintUIEntry /y /q /n “Printer name” also how can I disable UAC on the fly again via batch or command line?
  13. so remove the languages in the inputlocale in the sysprep.xml to test?
  14. Eng-us, eng-ca, fr-ca, the same as the 64 bit which has 0 issues. I think your right it has something to do with the video driver, as you stated above. I just add the three language via inputlocale in the sysprep.xml file. Same as I did with the 64 bit master image.
  15. I have got all the drivers we use in our organization, as I said the 64 bit master has 0 issues, it's the 32 bit master that is slow. Both the 64 bit master and 32 bit master were built on the same hardware a Dell Optiplex 755 Quad core. Attached are all the files you requested. TSSysprep.rar UnattendGC.rar setupact.rar
  16. That's odd that it's doing that too the video driver, but I have to tell you the resolution is always wrong on my 32 bit image, and always dead on with my 64 bit image, no matter what hardware it is deployed on. So I think toy maybe right about the slowness being the video driver on the 32 bit builds. But the question is how to fix the **** thing?
  17. here is my setupact.log from C:\WINDOWS setupact.rar
  18. My 64 bit Windows 7 image has EXACTLY the same apps, drivers, etc as the 32 bit image. The 64 bit image, once the pc is sealed and deployed to a pc. Sysprep does it thing, and I am at the windows login screen in 10 minutes. The 32 bit takes 30 minutes deployed to the same pc. All my images 32 and 64 bit have exactly the same apps, and drivers. Sorry if I am confusing you with the terminology,
  19. Sealing the pc, is fast cluberti, it's after the reboot and sysprep is doing it's thing it takes 30 minutes before sysprep is done and I'm at the login screen,
  20. I am going to attach my Panther logs folder. If anyone can help me debug the slowness I am experiencing in the Windows 7 32 bit sysprep process it would greatly be appreciated. I am stumped by this one. Panther.rar
