  4. hi, after every dp integration i must create a bootable iso img for win+dp with nlite is there a trick to burn only a data cd (without building a bootable iso img) and boot from another cd? another little doubt i have a clean "os directory" and after i apply the dp: with a newer dp release i must use a new clean "os directory" o i can use the older one (with the dp already in it)?

  6. no same prob on a "real pc" too i hope that Bâshrat the Sneaky give a look to this error at the end of his examination period (and hope too ended in the better way)
  7. ty Bâshrat the Sneaky for the attention on the pc installed 2006/02/23, with the controller problem solved with the file reported previously i have: initially a working 1.0.0.26 promise driver unpacked del mass storage 6021 package with 7zip in the system properties forced to use the driver located in D\M\P\2 rebooted: now i found a version 1.0.0.37: but markerd with a yellow exclamation mark, and, obviosuly the hds connected there are lost i forgot to say that during the xp installation, isn't possible to use any hds connected to that controller (isn't showed in the avaible devices list) i hope that this explanation is clear and can help u to solve this issue no prob for any further test regards, and ty Edit: i forgot too to say that this mainboard has two different controllers: one via and one promise the via one (with the system hd) works flawlessy
  8. ty jaclaz and blub i have tryed with the fat32 on a huge 160gb ntfs hd after the fdisk execution.. first scan.. after this.. and the prompt for use or not all the disk (obv i say not) another scan of the whole disk.. after this.. i have turned off the pc: it was a bit slow isn't' there a chance to use.. for example a trick for the recovery console? (it starts but it doesn't execute the winnt.exe file ) i think that the command prompt is better versatile for a multiboot disc , but unhappy there's this issue the method reported in this forum seems to be pretty complicated and less versatile ty again for any further suggestion
  9. tryed just now with sp4 an up2date base and dp: mraid35x.sys error
  10. ty no is a ntfs problem seems to be impossible to install, from a dos shell, win, to a ntfs partition the better way i have founded is create and install win on a fat32 partition smaller than 32 gb any further suggestion?

  14. all clear now so no "personal code" is contained in an original cd ty again
  15. sorry i have some prob with the language for key did you mean the key on the "pc sticker"? this key is the lonely difference from two installations?
  16. If your cd does not contain the CD-Key you can use it for all your PCs. If your CD contains the CD-Key see the previous paragraph. so i can use the same cd (not a "real" unattended one, but only a sp update and some driverpacks) for all the pc: obviously any install has its own serial number and its related version (home/pro) ty
  17. sorry but i'm interested too about this question installing win on more than one pc, can i use the same cd, and, after insert the pc serial? or must i create a different unattend cd for every pc (using the cd given with the machine)?? ty
  18. same prob here: cli.exe error, on a notebook with an ati video card (i dunno which one but i dont' think was a x600 ) i don't remember if for solve the issue i have removed the control panel with the windows uninstaller or i have removed it from the startup.. and... i dont' remember if installed with the last or the previous video dp if needed i can control wich version edit: found the cd.. is there a chance to see what dp version was?
  19. fresh rebuilded dvd with xp sp2 and dp.. same prob on another av8 deluxe: all fine, BUT the promise controller doesn't work next week perhaps i must format the third in the lan (same motherboard, i have 3 identic pcs there).. no one have tryed the masstorage dp with this mainboard ?
  20. The system was clean, and so i have retryed with the newest 6.02.5 and related dp at the first install prompt i don't see any hd connected to the fasttrack 378 controller (they are NOT in raid), and after the installation i found this controller marked with the "yellow affirmative mark" the driver panel report: Promise Technology 06/08/2003 1.0.1.37 so i must "force" a manual installation with the correct driver (from the asus site, the version for a non raid configuration), installing it like "as usual" i receive an "better device driver already present in the system" ...sorry for the english here, in the attachment, the working .inf UlSata.inf
  21. just installed an xp with the new 6.02.4 base and related packs, i have only a detect error with the promise fasttrack 378 controller (used like normal controller, not with raid) asus a8v deluxe promise fasttrack 378 ciao hwids.txt
  22. ty Bâshrat the Sneaky for the answer i have just tryed with the new base (thanks again for yours work) and the newer packs, but i receive the same error so now.. win2000 (older with no sp) > works added only the sp4 and rebuilded the iso with nlite > works same as before but with the driver packs (added after the sp4 and using method 2) and only rebuilded iso with nlite > mraid35x.sys error all the tests with a virtual unit and the os iso img loaded any further suggestion ?
