  1. What about removing the "Resiliency" key from the registry (if you do a search for it, then you'll find only one of it), then running "Detect and Repair"? This might take care of this issue. If not, then pls let us know.
  2. This surely works in an Exchange environment, but I'm not sure about environments without Exchange So, for Exchange, the solution is the following. Open up a new message. Click on the options icon on the toolbar. There will be several sections and one of them is "Delivery Options". There will be a check box saying "Do not deliver before". Set there the date when it should be delivered. Please let know your experiences if you're not utilizing an Exchange server

Outlook 2003 uses two kind of pst-formats: ANSI-coded (used until Outlook XP, file size limited to 2 GB) and Unicode (introduced in Outlook 2k3) Unicode PST's can't be read in earlier Outlook versions Your only possibility is to create an old-style pst in Outlook 2003: Go to File > Data File Management > Add... Then Select "Office Outlook 97-2002 Personal Folders File" After you've created this file, move every item from your - probably - Unicode pst to this one. The one you just created should open in earlier versions without any problems)
  4. Is it possible, that some other dialog box of Outlook is open at the same time? To check this try to press Alt+Esc. If this isn't the reason, is this problem eventually limited to mails of a certain format (Rich Text, Plain Text or HTML)? Is your Web browser working OK otherwise? Can you open links from other applications, like MS Word?
  5. Your Word and Outlook versions should match (e.g. no Outlook 2003 with Word 2000)
  6. Why are you trying to use Outlook 2000 and 2003 at the same time? I'm not absolutely sure whether Outlook 2003 can co-exist with older Outlook versions on the same machine at all... BTW to update the shortcut's destination, just simply rightclick on the icon in the start menu, select properties and make the change. You don't need the registry for this (however this is definitely not normal behaviour according to my experience).
  7. The reply of s93ncer was very good. However if the 'Show this folder as an email address book' is grayed out, then you might need to take additional steps. - Tools > E-mail accounts > Add additional address book > Add additional address book > Outlook Address Book. Say finish and restart Outlook. Then you might be able to make contacts visible.
  8. Unfortunately I can't add here the solution, just a similar problem (and a partial workaround) We are using Exch2k3 with OL2K3. Pbm nr. 1: User has delegated access to two colleagues. Now she couldn't take that access away by Tools > Options > Delegates. A workaround for this was to take away the permissions via File > Folder > Properties > Permissions. The name still did appear under Delegates, but the folders became invisible. This is far from a perfect solution however... Pbm nr. 2: There is a specific mailbox on the network to which nobody can grant any access rights for his own calendar. If I go to Tools > Options > Delegates in the mailbox which wants to grant access (mailbox A) and add the name of the mailbox to which permissions should be given (mailbox B ) then initially it seems like everything is fine. However if I leave the delegates menu, the entry in mailbox B is just gone. Same pbm occurs if I try to add permissions via File > Folder > Properties > Permissions I'm just standing there and looking and am confused... My possibilities are unfortunately limited, because we have only access to the desktops (with Outlook - this is with local admin rights) but none to the servers (handled by a different company and what they are doing is just like mess
  9. I'm a helpdesk analyst with now 2 years experience at 2 different large (300.000+ resp. 30.000+ employees) multinational companies. I have worked with Windows 2000 and XP. Mail client I know is MS Outlook (mostly 2000 and 2003). I have also experience with a VPN solution consisting of the Nortel Contivity VPN Client and the Fiberlink Global Remote software. I've and I am providing remote assistance over the phone (and the network What I'm looking here for is relevant learning regarding Outlook and Exchange. If somebody knows the Nortel client and would appreciate some knowledge transfer, then just drop me a PM (unfortunately this application is NOT one that is well documented...) This year I'm planning on completing my MCSA (I've completed half of the exams, so there's still something to do for the rest of the year). Next to computers I enjoy Jazz, Bossa Nova, good beer.
