The ram is taken from my old amd dual core system which was only used for 2 weeks since amd sucks for the games i play (tf2 loves the cache) =] What ram speed would you run for a e8400 type system? Vista Ultimate sp1

Anyone know how? I already disabled unneeded services and even turned off the themes and extra crap. In TF2 its laggy compared to XP even with lower settings. For example on vista i can look @ one part of a map on a game and get 30fps, but on xp i get 50-60+ at the same spot All drivers are updated, but it just seems Vista sucks for gaming my computer is not a sissy either e8400 @3.8hz 2gb ddr2 800 ram 8800 GT .. 500gb sata hdd 16mb cache 7200 Anyone else see this problem with vista? If you did on a virtual program.. youve been grown old lol. Took aleast 4-5 hours for mine and i belive the virtual program transfers data @ like 3KB sec..

:/ It was still going for over 4 hours so i went to bed and woke up to it @ a bad looking Vista desktop. I installed on Virtual Pc 2k4 and its not worth installing from this virtual program.. Its slow as butter with the additions installed Wouldve done better installing on a real partition.. this was a waste of hours lol.

Im not sure if it was on this forum, but awhile ago i ran across some program made for WIN2k3 server. When it run it you can turn on stuff like, "sounds, "directx" "ms java". "quick switch mode", "turn off the annoying download thingie" It was kind of Green and Grey when you opened the program. Some random guy made it and had a site which i think was primary "spanish lang" but it had english on it.

msg me and i can send the file to your email. and the good thing about it that is only a .exe and u click it than reboot and u got system resote. (someone made a .exe for win2k3 restore)

does it to this on windows xp? How old is the cd rom, maybe its not fully supported on 2k3 or some driver orIRQ conflict.

If your trying to use the coversion switch dont use it on Corp. version.

Well changing the os to a workstation is illegal by violating the "EULA?" but i dont care.
