  1. %CDROM% I assumed you read this, or had a way of getting hte CDROM drive variable. So yes, you MUST assign it your self. Otherwise, you will need to have it copied over, and the correct path to the file. The MSI is very versatile. It can be run ANYWHERE. YOu just have to make sure you tell it where the INI file is or just use the commandline. http://unattended.msfn.org/xp/runonceex_cd.htm the first part with the IF EXIST will help to assign the CDROM variable (or whatever you call it)
  2. look at the Driver's from post in the driver's forum.
  3. XP SP2 IS officially released. Monday I believe was the date of RTW. Second, no there are no critical updates. I believe 3 will show under recommended, .NET, Journal Viewer, and Highmat support.
  4. Tonight I'll go through and test on a virtual machine (makes sure ) Any who has a problem, post about it, and HOW to replicate it. The wav one is pretty simple, play a wav And I mean ERRORS, not Can you add this. Let's get teh bugs out of the way first Found the WAV bug (and all files supported by in_wave.dll). I left out an entry in the INI file that tells WInamp to actually play them (cfg_ext_mask). Fixed. If you want to quick fix it till I upload, to go Preferences>Input>Wave Input. Properties, and select all the extensions. Sonic Burning works. Just tested it. It's not meant to be in Output. According to the documentation, it's available ONLY through the Media Library. I'm waiting on uploading the new msi, till I hear whether there are more errors.
  5. Reads just fine for me (I changed it)
  6. .Default is the system status during Logon. When you get the logon box, that's .Default.
  7. you forgot OEMSkipWelcome under Unattended. That will get rid of teh "Welcome to Windows Screen" during Setup (with the billboard adds and such, NOT where you enter name for users)
  8. Just go order some 100 pack for $40 US isn't all that bad. and they're RITEK's too which makes it all the more sweeter.
  9. http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=23719 A member HERE has supplied a tcpip.sys file that allows unlimited connections like in SP1
  10. He probally put up temp updates, but the site is quite large, and may take some time. Most of the information is the same though.
  11. start with a CLEAN source, not an Unattended disc.
  12. did you make the ISS yourself using -r? or just the one included. Try making yourself.
  13. I disagree. Some people have been here for a long time, but just never registered. But if you are here to spam, you better only post this once. But this portion of the forum, is to get opinions on your websites.
  14. it could be the NX feature. Do you have an AMD64 or an processor that supports teh DEP?
  15. DVD+RW's are about the same if anyone asks. But they're easier to scratch Goodthing I have 200 DVD+R's and 50 RW's. I've gotten about...oh....140 burns on the RW so far.
  16. just as another note, this key (TaskbarWinXP) also controls alot of other things for the taskbar. Height, Toolbar placements, and even OTHER toolbars. I have 2 bars that load with my system everytime I install. Sure you gotta keep the paths the same, but the bars are created.
  17. 2158 is the BUILD TIME. NOT BUILDNUMBER.
  18. have you tried either /? /help or just help when executing the Nero SETUP exe?
  19. DefaultHide is what you want, if you only want the ProductKey gone
  20. Indeed. Why would you want a file that has been modified to have the SAME CRC as the original? It would defeat the purpose. CRC is just a computation of buckets and hashes and what (don't know the specifics) and whenever the file changes, even a byte, the CRC will change along with.
  21. improper driver is usually the cause. See if you have updated system drivers.
  22. Did you end up finding it? I've seen atleast 3 links in that thread.
  23. ewwwww. edonkey 1.0??? Who uses THAT anymore? pssh, eMule is the new edonkey. lol.
  24. Indeed. Wrong forum, and wrong topic. And now that I've ripped these posts out of the WIHU thread..... did you even SEARCH? No you didn't. If you did, I'm SURE you would have found this thread.... http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=22640 and if not that, then THIS specific post in that thread.... http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showto...ndpost&p=162131 You didn't even look at the first page of posts in the Windows XP forum.
  25. you MIGHT be able to, but I think GUIRunOnce might be better. Then you're not changing a good majority of system files just before Windows Setup finalizes. You may or may not come up with errors.
