  1. I found a discussion of Office 2013, keeping it, here: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/forum/all/reinstall-windows-10-but-keep-microsoft-office/d73df984-ef71-4bf2-8ee8-46941eb5db2f It says basically the same thing, you need the original media and key and without that, you can't keep it once it's wiped. The only other option I can think of it to get a hack for the key, but that's not really a good option in my experience as often such hacks either don't work, or they might open you up to other problems. What I recommend is use Open Office instead. It's a very capable program and if you need to, you can open the files in Microsoft Office and save them there a second time in Microsoft's format. Do understand though that MS Office will not keep any fancy features you might use in OO in the transition. It's good enough to get started though, and sometimes that is all you need.
  2. You probably need the key and everything. Here's a Wiki post I found on MS Office: https://www.wikihow.com/Transfer-Microsoft-Office-to-Another-Computer It's probably about as relevant as anything for your problem. It's not a simple task at all. (Microsoft wants to sell more Office subscriptions so they don't have any incentive to make it easy.)
  3. And if that's too scary, Mozilla's download page is here: http://www.mozilla.org/download.html They list everything they have there. Roving
  4. You've gotta be kidding me. If you can't find a vendor, there's always E-Bay!
  5. I prefer Editpad Lite because it makes the URL's clickable. Still free! Roving
  6. Have you tried downloading the latest driver at http://www.linksys.com/ ??? Roving
  7. Well, all isn't lost, you apparently have either renamed or deleted some of the "normal" desktop icons. But no matter, there is a program on your drive that can find all the info you need and more: msinfo32.exe. Just go to start button, click on "run" and type "msinfo32" and voila... If you don't happen to have a start button, you can use Windows Explorer to locate the file using the search files/folder function, and then go to the location and click on the file to run it. 8. On your computer, click on "My Computer" icon to bring up a menu, select "Properties" and see what it says under "Computer."
  9. I found a good site for answers to this error issue, but my first impulse is to say, don't use a Winmodem. They aren't worth it. If that's not possible, then you can try troubleshooting -- it sounds like a driver issue, as suggested below: http://groups.google.com/group/microsoft.p...1ac689e5e1ed672 If the above isn't enough, you can try this link: http://www.modemhelp.net/dunerror/error_630.shtml Roving
