  1. I look at it later and post what I found out.
  2. plase create 2 trace file (1 with and 1 without WLAN) and upload them and send me the link via PM
  3. Hi, don't worry about the WLAN. The cause is the ACPI.sys driver. Have you installed the latest BIOS/chipset drivers?
  4. have you removed the stupid requirement to disable UAC?
  5. use a WMI query to check which updates are installed.
  6. have you tried wuauclt /detectnow?
  7. Hi, you get the error: HRESULT = 0x80073701 - ERROR_SXS_ASSEMBLY_MISSING which means a file from WinSxS folder is missing. have you used vLite RT 7 Lite and removed components?
  8. copy the file "C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log" to your document folder (otherwise you can't open it) and open it with notepad. Now search for errors. Which errors do you see?
  9. start control panel, go to programs and click on "turn Windows Function on or off" and make sure that the Windows- Search is checked and installed.
  10. Try this tool: http://www.wsusoffline.net/
  11. You have the same issue like vfwh. The ACPI driver is causing the usage. Do you use the latest BIOS/drivers? Does it also happen if you make a Clean Boot (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135). If not a third party driver/program is causing it.
  12. please provide the complete etl file. upload it to your SkyDrive (if you have a LiveID) and send me the link via PM.
  13. don't use vLite to integrate the Sp1. use the reverse integration method to integrate Sp1 and Sp2.
  14. I'm not using any Roxio tools, so I don't know.
  15. afaik, no Nero Version is compatible to run on a Server OS.
  16. this is not the cause why it can't be slipstreamed! You can slipstream the SP n into a version which has n-1 SP level (Sp1 into RTM, Sp2 into Sp1, when you have a fully configured reverse integrated version). The cause is the way the servicing stack handles the updates!
  17. because Updates work the same like in Vista and Windows 7 is a Vista R2 under a new name
  18. no, SP1 will not be slipstreamable. MS already posted this last year in the Technet documentation.
  19. Hi, the idle process is nothing you should worry about. The intelppm.sys brings the power saving features of your CPU to Windows. Extend the "System" node please and post the new picture! regards André
  20. -numruns defines the number of test runs! -prepSystem optimizes the Windows Vista/7 startup as I show here: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=140262 Look into the documentation of the Windows Performance Toolkit if you want to know what all the command line option mean!
  21. what? That's the same like in old xperf toolkit found in the Windows Server 2008 SDK. I only removed the -noPrepReboot option from boot trace, because this parameter is no longer needed in the new WPT version. Please explain in detail what's wrong and what do you want to have back!
  22. You can only boot Windows 7 from a VHD
  23. yes, most Windows Vista /7 updates are language independent.
