  1. RT7lite works the same like vLite and simply deletes the files while WinIntegrator uses the packages to remove the features. The deleting approach causes update failures. Removing functions with WinIntegrator breaks nothing and you can install for example the Sp1.
  2. WinIntegrator is more stable.
  3. this is because of your strange folder name: -= Downloads =- Use a simple path like C:\Updates
  4. don't use this tool, WinIntegrator from Stefan is better. Or mount the Image yourself and use DISM to integrate the updates.
  5. read my first post again. I've added a better tool which also shows the driver and not only the current µsec value.
  6. yes, I know this topic. I replied to it, too. The MSFT employee looks at it to see more.
  7. why? use this tool: http://download.wsusoffline.net/ to download the updates for your Windows and integrate them.
  8. Do you have any glitches or other issues? I dumped the result into a txt file, like shown in the first post. The highest spikes are on 128µsec. This doesn't cause sound issues. The tcpip.sys, nvlddmkm.sys and the mysterious UNKNOWN have the highest µsec values. So update the driver for your Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller and for your NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT. best regards André
  9. create a new DVD and only add official Updates which are released on WindowsUpdate and test again. In the meantime I read my debugging book to find something to see the cause.
  10. @mulhearn1022 you also have ATAport.sys issues: Total = 16385 for module ataport.SYS Elapsed Time, > 512 usecs AND <= 1024 usecs, 3, or 0.02% Elapsed Time, > 1024 usecs AND <= 2048 usecs, 9, or 0.05% Elapsed Time, > 2048 usecs AND <= 4096 usecs, 492, or 3.00% Elapsed Time, > 4096 usecs AND <= 8192 usecs, 1845, or 11.26% Elapsed Time, > 8192 usecs AND <= 16384 usecs, 2, or 0.01% read what demokid18 wrote. he had the same card and this card causes the ATAport.sys issue. Can you also test a different card and let use know if this fixes it. Do you use the latest nForce drivers.
  11. your Windows is much faster now. 23s to boot to the desktop and 32s to boot completely. This is fine. Have you found the crash dump (in C:\Windows\Minidump)? Can you share them? The MSFT employee replied and I need the STOP Code.
  12. 1. why have you installed this hotfix? http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2398906 You don't use more than 128 CPU(Cores). I look at the dump and tell you the results later.
  13. the trace is not complete. I can't see when it is finished. Read my trace guide and you see that the first steps is to load all boot relevat drivers. in oyur case it takes to load the SPTD driver (Demon tools) and the IDE controller. that's why you see no activity. You should really remove MSE and try a different tool. MSE is still slow.
  14. in this case, make a complete memory dump: zip the dump and send me the link. Use mediafire for uploading.
  15. in WinDbg press CTRL+S and add the symbol path: SRV*c:\websymbols*http://msdl.microsoft.com/download/symbols open the dmp and run !analyze -v and post the output here.
  16. ok, remove KAV and look if its gone.
  17. ok. Can you make a help which explains this a bit more?
  18. sorry, I opened the wrong file You have an issue with "driver locked" So a device driver called a function to lock memory and for Windows to have it in RAM all the times. I can see that you use Kaspersky. Which version do you use? Is this the 64Bit version (I see that you installed it to C:\Program files (x86) which contains 32Bit application on a 64Bit Windows)? And with 2GB RAM, you should use a 32Bit Windows. A 64Bit Windows only makes sense if you use more than 3GB. sorry for the confusion.
  19. no. I emailed this to a MSFT employee who works on WPT, but he has not answered. Xperf is the CLI tool to start traces. The functions to start traces are in the Windows kernel. So it is an issue with Windows. Can you open the dmp with WinDbg and look if you also get the USB issue?
  20. cool Btw, is possible to save the customizations (icons(_size), wallpaper) and load them on next boot again?
  21. have you send me the wrong link? send it again.
  22. thanks. This is strange. the picture doesn't show this
  23. From your data I can see that you have 6GB RAM, but in the picture you have 2GB RAM. Also remove AVG and Comodo and see if the usage is better. Some downloaded files and program files (firefox, skype are in the cache).
  24. Lego is a member here, too: http://www.msfn.org/board/user/125866-legolash2o/ I don't know why he has not posted it here.
  25. Please download and run RAMMap, run it and save the data as a RMP file. Zip the RMP file and upload the zip, please.
