  1. I'm happy that you fixed the issue this is enough. Enjoy using the WAIK and discuss with other users here on msfn maybe you can help others
  2. look at the file version 6.0.6001 = Vista Sp1 = Server 2008 RTM, so cluberti is correct and Sp2 includes the fix
  3. trace the transfer: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/usbcoreblog/archive/2009/12/21/answering-the-question-what-s-wrong-with-my-device-using-usb-etw.aspx
  4. ALL-IN-WONDER X800 GT 267 and Intel HD i5-2400 304 So the i5 seems to be "better". But both are not usable for gaming. You should use at least a Radeon HD 5(6)770 for gaming. But better start with a HD 6870, this card is fast enough for MW3 and BF3.
  5. I use WinDbg from the Windows Debugging Tools to get the cause.
  6. according to this list the Intel HD is faster compared to the X800: http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/video_lookup.php?gpu=Intel+HD+i5-2400
  7. sure, it is the same like uninstalling a normal update: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Remove-an-update
  8. this will never happen. If you want to use new hardware use a new Operating system. If you don't like Windows NT based version go to Linux (Ubuntu for expample).
  9. remove all hotfixes and try if the issue is gone.
  10. you're welcome
  11. which GPU do you have? Some users had issues when the GPU shares the IRQ with other components. So run "C:\Windows\System32\msinfo32.exe" and check under IRQs if the GPU shares an IRQ. If this happens and your board has 2 PCIe 16 slots insert the card in the other slot and test again. If this doesn't help, compress and upload the trace to mediafire.com and post a link here.
  12. ok, enjoy your WinPE now and remember this for the feature if you need to build a new Image with the WAIK
  13. use ProcMon to debug slowness. Here is an example how to do this: http://blogs.technet.com/b/markrussinovich/archive/2010/12/07/3373406.aspx
  14. NDIS causes 1 spike over 1000µs: The L1C62x64.sys is your network card driver for your Atheros L1c PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Controller. I can see that this driver causes some CPU uaage spikes of the SYSTEM (Kernel). Your version is 1.0.0.26. Check if you can get an driver update. Also install the Windows 7 Sp1, you still use Windows 7 RTM. Do you need the software VAIO Care? This tool captures data every 2 seconds and may cause this spikes:
  15. Sorry I don't know if ZA uses the Kaspersky engine.
  16. providing such modified images is not allowed here on msfn.
  17. ok, also remove / update Kaspersky: Your version is very old: Image name: klif.sys Timestamp: Tue Sep 22 12:32:04 2009
  18. Process Hacker can list all drivers and allows to modify the start type.
  19. can you zip and upload (mediafire.com, Rapidshare.com) the ETL file?
  20. The issue may be caused by the ShadowProtect snapshot driver (stcvsm.sys): So update or uninstall the tool and try it again.
  21. upload the compressed (as 7z, LZMA2 -ULTRA) ETL file to mediafire.com and send me the link via PM.
  22. zip it and attach it or use a 1 click hoster like mediafire.com
  23. itis better to check why it fails. run Process Monitor, tarce the Application failure and look in the captured trace what is going wrong.
  24. have you setup Windows correctly to generate dumps? http://support.microsoft.com/kb/254649 Have you enabled the pagefile (Virtual memory) in Windows?
  25. SMART = Self-Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting Technology: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/S.M.A.R.T. There are several tools which can read the data (Speedfan, HDTune, AIDA64).
