And you likely will not. BUT you do get many more applications running functionaly at the same time without choking your system down. Now with 64bit and 6 gigs of ram I can run several intensive thing at once, wheras before I could only run 3 or 3 things at the same time. I am taking like running a couple of vmware os's, photoshop, 7zipping a 800 meg 9000 file folder and surfing the net while watching a movie. NOW I can do that. Before I could run 1 vm os and browse and say watch a movie and the movie would stutter abit. I was a long term hater of 64bit and the newer os'es. But honeslty? I LOVE the extra productivity.

Hmmm 2x or more CPU power needs 2x or more ram? Seems fine to me... P.S. I ran 64 on 2 gigs ram for quite some time and was fine. Win7 DOES handle 4gigs like the other 32 bit predeccesors. It simply doesn't recognize or utilize more than 3.25-3.75 gigs. There where disproved rumors awhile ago that you could MAKE it use 4+ gigs but the were, as i said, disproven.

I have never seen a disk like that. O_o For one there is NO i386 folder...

What are the file size of those ca_ files?

OK, OK I know a few of you are wondering about WPI's increased size and if there is anything that can be done with it. This is not as dirty as the last time I visited the theory but here is what can be romoved and WPI still runs at base functionality! Notes: Cannot use the USSF, Extract, reschange functions or anything else like langs, graphics and such. Remember this is for BASE usage! OK I removed the following: Audio (Keep the install.m3u file in the audio folder) Graphics (Whole folder) Lang (Keep lang_en and your chosen lang file) Manual (Whole folder) Themes (Keep your chosen theme!) Tools (Keep Sleep.exe) ChangeLog.txt WPI Info.txt Space saved? 18.7 megs. Amount of files deleted? 1566 files. Left over? 3.18 megs and 944 files. I tested this with a completly new WPI config and on a fresh installation of windows... YES there is more that COULD be removed BUT I don't want to get to detailed or limiting on the functionality! Remember all you need to co to restore ANYTHING is to and the files back in!

I am pretty lazy and we have the 4 CORE files left out of the download since they are generated on first run or copied over when upgrading. SO, I just drag and drop it all over the old location... (Warning, make SURE and backup your core 4 files [networkoptions, useroptions, config and windowoptions js files + your audio folder] Trust me ALWAYS keep a backup of your old config files)

You can delete the support and upgrade folders too.

vLite CANNOT use addons... You will have to make a script to copy them into system32 and register them post-install..

You are correct those 2 lines are not needed anymore.

We WILL NOT help you with any source to get "The Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit ISO" from. other than to say you can only get it from an official source like a MSDN account or buy it from a retailer...

I hate to burst your bubble but there is no real chance of another version of nLite comming out... Nuhi dissapeared right after ie7 and SP3 came out... Despite ALL attempts to get ahold of him no-one knows where he has gone to or even if he is still alive.

I am not sure we understand you. Are you saying: The wallpaper cannot be changed? Or There is a overlay of information that always shows?

WPI v8 now no longer uses a hta file... It now uses a normal .exe file.
